you will find the people friendly and relaxed, but my advice would be to find a b&b for less money, less noise and better decoration. our back corridor second floor room (72) was awful, well if your a sixtys child you may well feel like your re-living that childhood. ( i am sure the television was bought of the local... more

The staff are friendly but there are some fawlty towers type aspects. They don't provide any bath towels - only small hand towels, which the entire party found quite irritating. One of my colleagues asked for an alarm call on our first morning, but they never rang him and he had to go to work without any breakfast that morning.... more

We traveled to Bandon, Ireland from our home in Pebble Beach, California in order to be close to our cousins in Cork City and Newcestown. The friendly desk clerk pointed out immediately where we could park our rental car safely and free. We were in room number 86. The spacious, clean room has plenty of closet space as well as... more

We where surprised to be greeted by the Hotel Owner as he announced himself. He started to deal with us at reception and just left without excusing himself. We stood around for a good 5 to 10 minutes feeling like we where in faulty towers waiting for Basil. Then some other member of staff came by and we had to... more

This is a great little hotel regardless of what previous people say. It's typical of a small Irish town and if you want 5 star with great food served to your room go to Fota island about 40 minutes. If you want friendly staff with old town atmosphere then drop in here. Oh, I should say that the food is... more

I have just returned from visiting Bandon after a stay at the Munster Arms, OR as my sister liked to call it " THE MONSTER ARMS". We booked in and were made to wait while the manager stopped to chat on the phone whilst dealing with our payment. This was seemingly far more important than dealing with the customers stood... more

I stayed here a while back. The location of the hotel is good. The price was expensive, considering the size, quality, age etc of this hotel. It was more expensive than several new , modern, larger hotels i have stayed in this region. The hotel rooms are not of a standard one would expect for a hotel. Initiallly, the first impressions... more

Stayed here for a weekend whilst visiting pals. Initially things looked promising. The lobby is fine and the check in staff were friendly. We went up to our room (no lift so be ready to lug your own cases up the stairs). Beyond reception things get a bit iffy. We got to our room it was pretty small but had... more

My girlfriend and I booked in here for 3 nights (August 10th-12th) as we were attending a wedding in a nearby town. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who checked us in very promptly. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing and every member of staff was so friendly and couldnt do enough to help us. The management... more

We recently took a weekend break to The Munster Arms in West Cork and enjoyed it immensly. The newly refurbished reception and bar are so inviting and the staff are amazingly friendly. It wasn't even that expensive. We found it to be the perfect stop on the gateway to West Cork more
