We were more than happy with our stay here. Paid a little over our budget but were not disappointed. Staff at reception and in the dining room were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was the best we'd had anywhere- fantastic. Room was nicely decorated and clean - fairly roomy in comparison to other hotels. Only negative was that there was... more

I had stayed here once before 5 years ago and was not disappointed once again this time,Its in a good location for everything and the staff are great. We had breakfast two mornings and the service and food was fantastic. The bathroom in the room was a little tired looking but other than that the hotel is perfect,.Also handy for the... more

I did a lot of research on where to stay in Cork and based on the comments, the Lancaster Lodge was the most appealing. The hotel is in a good location, spacious rooms, clean, and decent breakfast, but kind of pricey for the value. more

Our first "girlie" weekend to Cork and we were happy with our choice of accomodation. We found it quite centrally located, a short stretch of the legs found us in the main part of the city, A good stretch of the legs found us at the Cork old gaol and a bus ride took us to Kinsale. The airport link... more

Visited Cork on a short stay. I was a little weary about the accomodation because its hard to choose somewhere nice, however I enjoyed my time here. Just be aware its a four star guesthouse, and not boutique PROS: -Great central location -Very large rooms with modern, comfy feel, nice decor -Good value -Excellent breakfast, everyone clearly wanted more! -Helpful... more

Central, clean comfortable, a good breakfast and a good quiet night's sleep. Lancaster Lodge is a perfectly adequate hotel, though it looks very basic and has quite a clinical feel to it. However, the staff were very efficient and helpful and solved all matters referred to them. The free wi-fi was very welcome. The hotel is more 'generic' than its... more

Read that it was good value and it was. Decent location in the city. Breakfast was better than average. Will always remember the long chat we had with Tim, the semi-retired night manager. What a nice man with great stories and history. Staff were all friendly and helped us with directions, tours and drying our rain-soaked sweater. more

This is a modern, clean and friendly place to stay in Cork. Very convenient for the city - only a short walk gets you to as many bars and restaurants as you will need. The staff are particularly friendly and helpful - both Irish and Polish they were fantastic. I would recommend this instead of any of the B&Bs in... more
