Stayed here with my partner recently for a short shopping weekend. The location was very good and the rooms clean and tidy. Didnt eat in the hotel other than for breakfast but this was very nice. The bar looked busy but we had arrangements to meet friends in a nearby bar so didnt try it but it looked busy with... more

Had to take a trip to cork recently to meet some clients and not being familiar with cork I choose the gresham for its location. I was a little anxious after I found it was not quiet as popular as I had hoped on here but it turned out to lovely. I was upgraded to an executive room as I... more

Clean, comfortable, very centrally-located hotel in Cork city. The rooms were spacious, clean, and bright - all newly refurbished. The hotel is on a relatively busy street, so there was some noise from traffic in the morning. Compared to other hotels in Cork, the Gresham offered good value (particularly if you booked online). Free wifi included. Parking was a bit... more

This hotel was fab. It is a short walk from the main shopping street. Check in was v quick. I got an overnight parking ticket for 5e which was dead handy. The car park is located at the back of the hotel. The ticket is valid for 24hrs. We were on the fourth floor of the hotel. The views from... more

rented 2 rooms for a night, key cards did not work for either room, had to return to desk 3 more times until 2 cards worked for one room and one for the other. requested ice, had to go to bar to get it, less than friendly reception there, they said they would send to room, after half hour still... more

I found this to be a decent hotel overall. The staff were friendly when we checked in and all through our stay. The hotel is quite traditional in it's style and decor but has a cosy, homely feel to it. Our room was a decent size with adequate facilities. However, we had a room on the side between the River... more

Stayed for only one night and was thankful that was all it was. Check in went well after parking in the underground car park a short walk away - pricing for this was already included in our booking. The hotel itself seems to be semi-renovated including the rooms which gives the appearance of half a job done. The room itself... more

Stayed at Metropole for weekend in November. Nice things were: - Nice bedroom, reasonable size, well furnished though shower took some getting used to and some time to get hot water! - Very friendly, helpful staff! - Great location for shopping! - Good Value! more
