My wife and one year old daughter had been traveling around Ireland for two weeks before landing at the Garnish house for a single night's stay. The reception was very hospitable, as we were greeted with a delicious spread of food and tea. Our reservation was not properly conveyed to the staff, but they dropped everything and made sure we... We chose an apartment for our stay and were given one on the ground floor, unfortunately being next to the front door meant that we were disturbed day and night by others slamming the front door. The accommodation was adequate and a 15 min walk to the centre. There is a nice park behind and the university grounds in front.... More

On arrival we were greeted with a very warm welcome, tea and scones/cakes on arrival. We booked a family room and single room for our stay. En suite facilities, TV and tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and iron in room. 10 min walk to centre, lots of parking available. Huge breakfast, lots of choice. Would recommend 10/10.

Not a conventional or traditional B and B, as the presence of the jacuzzi in the bathroom attests. About 15-20 minutes walk away from the centre. No parking if you arrive late. Room #5 was large enough to accommodate a sofa. It is situated at the back of the house away from the road. Breakfast excellent. Guests are welcomed with... More

it is a family run hotel, i have stayed there many times and have always got the same service. Afternoon tea when you arrive, and you may get a little snug to yourself when having it! The breakfast is second to none, an absolutely massive one, and you are sure to come away stuffed from it! and you must have... More

Very friendly welcome. The room we had was on the side street and a bit noisy. We could hear the traffic and people in the other rooms. The bed for 2 was a bit small. But the rest was great. Nice to be able to walk in town quickly.

This is a good option in Cork. Cork was not our favorite town, and we would do things a bit differently if given the opportunity. However, the Garnish House provided all the necessities at a reasonable price. We can't hold our misconceptions about Cork against the Garnish House. We stayed on the top floor in the front (facing the road)... More
