Not a conventional or traditional B and B, as the presence of the jacuzzi in the bathroom attests. About 15-20 minutes walk away from the centre. No parking if you arrive late. Room #5 was large enough to accommodate a sofa. It is situated at the back of the house away from the road. Breakfast excellent. Guests are welcomed with... More

it is a family run hotel, i have stayed there many times and have always got the same service. Afternoon tea when you arrive, and you may get a little snug to yourself when having it! The breakfast is second to none, an absolutely massive one, and you are sure to come away stuffed from it! and you must have... More

Very friendly welcome. The room we had was on the side street and a bit noisy. We could hear the traffic and people in the other rooms. The bed for 2 was a bit small. But the rest was great. Nice to be able to walk in town quickly.

This is a good option in Cork. Cork was not our favorite town, and we would do things a bit differently if given the opportunity. However, the Garnish House provided all the necessities at a reasonable price. We can't hold our misconceptions about Cork against the Garnish House. We stayed on the top floor in the front (facing the road)... More

My husband and I loved this guesthouse. On arrival we were greeted with efficiency and friendly conversation not to mention tea, scones and cake which we savaged as we were starving after a long drive!!! Room was quite compact and borderline small for our suitcases to be honest but a safe walk to the city so no probs there. 10-... More

Although staff on arrival were very helpful, the rest of the night was horrible. We stayed in room 2, please avoid I was woken 4 times due to people coming in late and ringing the door bell. You can hear everything through the wall. People above is talking and every step they took the floor creaked. Just after 6 I... More

Thank you Siobhan for choosing Garnish House recently. We were most disappointed to read that you were disappointed with your stay. You booked an advance purchase 'pay now and save' rate on garnish.ie, which clearly states 'room only' and thus does not include breakfast. You also selected a double room, but on arrival we were able to give you an... More

We stayed in a family room upstairs. It was clean and comfortable, with a tiny bathroom that was small but worked perfectly. The breakfast was insanely large, but something for everyone (and then some). The people working there were wonderfully friendly and helpful. It's a great location, right across from UCC and within walking distance of some great restaurants.

Stayed in Garnish House Sunday just gone and I have to say it was really lovely. We checked in at the main building and were greeted by a young woman with glasses who deserves a special mention (as do all the staff we met really). There was a couple in front of us looking for assistance but she made sure... More

We selected this B&B purely on the basis of the reviews we had seen and we were not disappointed. We arrived earlier than anticipated and purely called in to see if we could leave the car but we were warmly welcomed on arrival and, to our surprise, were checked in there and then and offered a choice of two rooms... Found this little gem online when looking for accommodation for a hen party. From the moment I emailed Garnish House they were ever so helpful and suggested we stay in one of their houses which accommodated our group of 17. No request was too difficult, afternoon tea was awaiting us upon arrival at 12noon which set us up for the... More
