The rooms are tiny and only a few rooms have a bathroom (if you have to share go downstairs to the basement, there are really nice bathrooms!). But I just stayed in the room to sleep so I didn't care about the rooms size too much. The staff is super friendly and the location is perfect, as you can walk... More

I booked this hostel for 7 nights and only stayed for 1. The 6 bed dorm room was tiny and as soon as one person put their bag on the ground it blocked the walkway to all the beds. The shower was one of the push button types with no control over the heat (push the button, 20 seconds water,... More

Helpful staff can't complain and always felt like a safe place to stay over. I am a regular hospital and find hostels like this enhances the local experience. Very clean and tidy too. Spacious rooms and living space areas. I also found it affordable too

Bed was comfortable, kitchen was sufficient. There are plenty of showers/toilets, they're a bit small but they get the job done. The staff I interacted with were friendly and knowledgable. Wifi signal wasn't great on the 3rd floor but worked just fine in the common area.

I can't complain too much - got what I paid for. It's no exaggeration that this hostel is on the top of a huge hill. I didn't believe it when I read the reviews. I would definitely get a cab if you have a lot of luggage. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. They have breakfast for 3 euros... More

Location: Excellent, just a few minutes from the bus station and just off MacCurtain Street with all its restaurants, pubs and Rory Gallagher history. Basic 6-bed accommodation, little space in the rooms except for the beds, lockers are inconveniently located down a hall. The 5 euro deposit for a lock is understandable, but renting ‘the lock’ for 1 euro/day seemed... More

The staff is welcoming, and the rooms were clean, big enough to put our stuff. The problem is that there are many rooms and only a few bathrooms, so there always is a queue. When we were there, one of the two showers of our floors was out of order,so that makes one shower and one sink for a hole... More

Well, it was not the nicest hostel during our two week trip through Ireland but not the worst either. Our room was clean but the bathroom and showers could have been cleaner. Breakfast was good and the hostel staff was friendly. Not the best place to stay for a few weeks but for a couple of days it's definitely fine.

As you may or may not know, in some cultures, the term "sheila" means "girl" - and this beauty has a place for you! Sheilas is situated in Cork - do not be afraid of the Zen-like hill test - you will definitely be rewarded with great hospitality. It is buzzing with people, and this is reflective of the community... More
