Nearly every review of this hotel mentions the waterfall so I have done too. End of subject ! This hotel is a rare find indeed. It is not that it has gold taps, Tom Ford bathrobes or hottubs (it has none of these) but it really delivers what a hotel should, in my humble opinion. Hotwater. Ok, a simple thing,... More

Just returned from a lovely weekend in Cork at the Isaac s Hotel. We stayed with another couple and we both had been upgraded to the new no smoking rooms, 213 and 215 (our friends stayed in 215 and this had lovely beams) both rooms were very spacious, huge wardrobe, very clean. The only tiny downside was that it was... More

Just returned from a lovely weekend in Cork at the Isaac s Hotel. Downside was our room was directly above the smoking area and was noisy until the early hours, had to have the window open as it was very very hot in the room. The waterfall was pretty and luckily was turned off during the night as again it... More

A group of four of us (2 couples) stayed at the Isaac's in May 2007 for 2 nights. We stayed in one of the apartments they have available, located in a separate building from the main hotel. Check-in at the front desk went smoothly, and the staff was friendly and courteous throughout our stay. They were able to exchange our... More

Kind of a funky place, up its own alley with a waterfall at the end. Our room was like an apartment suite, betraying its origins as a former residence, with two tv's and a cavernous bathroom. A bit worn and aged, but charming nonetheless. The wonky lift (elevator) will similarly not be to everyone's taste, but an experience worth having.... More

I stayed here with my fiancee in December. The hotels location is perfect with some lovely pubs along McCurtain Street. (I totally agree with a previous reviewer - the Central Grill nearby does a FANTASTIC fry up on Sunday morning. Can't recommend it highly enough). The hotel reception itself was well maintained, and very christmassy given the time of year.... More

I recently stayed at the Issacs Hotei Cork. The location is convenient to the town and has its own waterfall in the patio area. The room I had was a good size with all amenities. The cooked breakfast was plentiful and overlooked the waterfall. But my particular reason for writing is the excellent service I had at reception when the... More

Isaacs Hotel is very close to the Parnell Place Bus Stop and Merchant's Quay. The Bus Station provides a variety of options for transportation and Merchant's Quay has several opportunities for shopping. From the bus stop, you simply cross the river and will quickly hit the street where the hotel is. We did this late at night and although it... More

I've stayed at Isaacs 6 times over the past 2 years with the last time being November 2007. It is very conveniently located, as shops, restaurants and local sites are all within walking distance. The hotel has its own character. It is not your standard franchise hotel. I have always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. The rooms... More
