After reading some of the previous reviews i was not looking forward to my trip at all. We sat in the pub across the road building up our courage before checking in!! There was no need to worry. Our room had a massive bathroom (with constant running hot water) a double & a single bed. Plenty of room. The iron... more

Cork is a great City, friendly locals and an alternative to Dublin which I think is is overrated. The Victoria Hotel is in a superb location, right in the heart of the City. The staff were friendly and helpful with local knowledge. We ate in the bar which has character and a charming bar men. It offers the same food... more

We chose the Victoria because of its central location and relatively low price. It is an old hotel with some red velvet and chandeliers. But too much "character" makes for hassles here. You can park on the street long enough to unload, then move to the parking garage around the corner. It cost us 16 euros from 5 pm till... more

I found it hard to believe when I read the brochure for this bijoux boutique destination hotel, but over breakfast I noticed somebody very familiar - Princess Caroline of Monaco! I asked the staff and apparently the King of Norway had stayed in my room the previous night. This hotel is has a masculine charm, it's quirky, very centrally located... more

Despite the brave efforts of one single member of the staff to go against the grain and be helpful and friendly and the fantastic location this is a terrible hotel. Dark, dank, smelly corridors covered in disorientating patterned carpets which lead into big but badly furnished and barely clean rooms. Unless you are going to spend most of the day... more

The good stuff: The Victoria Hotel is in a great location in central Cork. Little touches like the half full open bottle of vodka supplied with the room really make you feel welcome. If you are really gasping for a smoke a selection of cigarrette butts are available under your bed (ask at reception if they haven't been supplied). The... more

We stayed at this hotel during our trip to Ireland. 2 rooms for 4 adults. This is the worst hotel ever. We checked into the hotel after driving around to find somewhere to park. I had to park in a parking ramp about 1.5 miles away. We hauled our luggage to the hotel. This hotel doesn't even validate parking during... more

We only spent one night here-We were fresh off the Roscoff/Cork ferry-port citybus dropped us off at the bus station-we wandered around in the drizzily cold rain until we located the central part of Cork-we saw this hotel and jumped at it-we were wet and cold and tired . No lift-dragged our stuff up the stairs-rooms were only 79 euro... more

The good part about this hotel is the location and it does have a restaurant and bar downstairs. The bad parts: The hallway smelled terrible. There was no water pressure in the shower and the water was barely warm. The rooms were freezing and when I asked about the radiator they said they only turn the heat on for two... more

Booked this hotel for a combined romantic getaway /xmas shopping trip, because of its location in the heart of one of our favorite citys cork. although the location is excellent right on patricks st in the heart of the city ,.,the down side is it has no parking facilities ,also both entrances require a trip up a flight of stairs... more
