Hi I was in cork for a duration of 2 + months. I opted for Kinlay house, Though initially I was a bit skeptical. But today after completing my entire stay I bet I could not have made a better decision. The place provides you your space when you require in addition to the chance of meetings various people from... More

Where do I begin... Cons: Pillow is flat as a pancake. Invest in some new ones that don't look like the whole of Ireland has slept on them. The bathroom ensuite in my shared dorm was mouldy and had rusty nails coming out of the floor. Invest in a fan and some new flooring. The kitchen stove is disgusting. Exactly... More

I stayed at Kinlay House Cork on a Sunday, to spend the night and catching a flight the morning after. In that sense, the hostel is almost perfect, 10 minutes walk from the bus station (and city centre) and with 24/24h reception. Room was adequately clean, and bathrooms were basic yes, but not troublesome. Well my bed (and others, as... More

One of the worst, the bed and room was dirty, the mattress was 20 years old and folded in half when you lay in it. The showers had no doors and the one shower that has a door didn't lock. The toilets had no lights and didn't lock. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. There are... More

I spent one night at Kinlay House Hostel in Cork last week. To be honest I was a bit skeptical about that accommodation, especially after reading some reviews, but I had to change my mind. I think it's a good place to stay if you're just looking for an essential room. The bed was quite comfortable and the room clean... More

I stayed here with 4 friends back in 2012 ,we had left things to the last minute to book and we ended up choosing a hostel. We thought it would be alot easier for us all in a 4 bed dorm room to come and go as we please. We were sorely mistaken. Breakfast ,if you could call it that... More

I never review places I visit, but I might soon start ! Kinlay House Hostel offered me the incredible hostel experience, of being very relaxed . At reception the staff were so nice to me and gave me all the relavant info, regarding my dorm room , and bathroom. There is also a clothes washing facility in the hostel that... More

Stayed here again recentlty & was really happy! The staff were very friendly and helpful - with lots of advice on what to do etc Great location for the city - pubs, shops and restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. The free WiFi worked! Bonus! The little breakfast took the edge off. More security in place too with a code... More

We were here over the St Paddys celebrations for 5 days and had a great stay at Kinlay house. Our room was warm, sunny and clean. The bunks weren't noisy and once again- clean. The bathrooms were good- close to the rooms and the only issue would be not enough of a door to stop water from going everywhere and... More
