I'm no stranger to hostels. I've stayed in many. This was by far, one of the greatest. Not a bad walk to city center (about 10 minutes). It might be too far for some people, but my boyfriend and I didn't mind. Breakfast was great. Toast and coffee to get my day started is plenty. Staff was super friendly as... More

Im so glad that I spent my time here in Kinlay house. Staff were fantastic and made sure that I was looked after. The beds are comfortable and cosy. My room was lovely and i got the chance to get to know all different sorts of people in the House's tv room! I will most certainly be returning when i... More

Stayed here in a private room with a friend. This room was in a separate house in a quiet part of Cork. The private room have. Clean bathroom and tea kettle. It was clean dry and quiet. Very nice. The breakfast was meager even for a hostel.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Kinlay House - we were well attended to, even before our stay via email. The service was fantastic and gave lovely recommendations for restaurants & pubs :) The Double Private room was nice and clean (GREAT shower hah). We didn't wake up on time for the free breakfast but it's nice to know... More

Lovely people behind the front desk, super helpful with touristy info Bit too removed from the city center for my liking, and the stairs did me no favors. The kitchen smelt a bit like school camp, but other than that all the facilities were fine.

After a few days in super crowded and uncomfortable hostels, it was a great relief finding such cleanliness and privacy, as far as possible. The staff were attentive and always tried to help us as we needed (car rental, attractions of cork, ...) The breakfast could be better. Would be enough to offer real milk (not sachets) to add to... I stayed in a private room for 4 nights. The room was clean and big, but noisy. My room was close to a small road and I could hear people talking (and singing) outside late evening and in night. Also there is a church nearby, but it didn't really bother me. Bathroom was ok, the shower wasn't very good. You... More

For my taste Kinlay House Hostel is way to big, there are so many rooms, and all are 10 bed or more dorms, however the kitchen is very very small, there was a queue for using the cooker. I stayed in a 12 bed dorm but it didn't seemed so big, as some of the beds were separated by kind... More

Stayed on a weekend and it was nothing but noise. Dodgy characters constantly drinking outside, morning noon and night,Oh , dont forget its right beside the church whose bells ring constantly!!!!!!!!!!! so was afraid for my car. No soundproofing and room was small. We asked for a double but were told we should've called instead! Staff only ok and helpful... More

I stayed here with my Paddy Wagon group in two different rooms and our experiences were quite different. I was in a 3 bed with the bathrooms outside in the hall; I felt like I was in a prison cell and the door was so loud that avoiding waking up my friends was not an option. The bathrooms were clean,...
