My friend and I used a Groupon deal and had afternoon tea at this hotel recently. Well all I can say is that while I frequented the bar for meetings, I had never eaten there until now but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food on offer for the afternoon tea. First of all, you will not... More

Had a lovely afternoon with my sister and our 2 babies at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and we felt very looked after. I highly recommend the afternoon tea - we couldn't finish the selection! More

Have stayed a few times. Always found the hotel to be good value for money. Bar and restaurant staff are quite slow. Restaurant food is a little pricy but of reasonable quality. Will consider staying again. More

It is however quite a walk into town with a hill to walk up on return which meant you tend to eat in the Hotel in the evening. The problem for me as a vegetarian was there was not enough variation or... More

We stayed at the Ambassador Hotel for one night while on our honeymoon. We booked the hotel through the tourist office in town because of the price and the car park. Upon arrival, we happened to let it slip that we were on our honeymoon and we were upgraded to a room with a balcony and a view for no... More

Thanks to the amazing staff at the Ambassador last week when I visited for a 30th birthday party. I stayed on second floor in a room overlooking the city. It was another fantastic visit. The barman on duty Roy greeted me and my party with great enthusiasm and took care of our every need. He served us and entertained us... More

On a recent weekend break to cork my boyfriend and I stayed in the Ambassador. On early arrival, we were told our room would be ready shortly and were offered a place for our bags and given ideas for lots to do down the town. When we arrived back the receptionist told us we had been upgraded to an executive... More
