Only stayed one night but it did the job well, friendly staff, comfortable room, wasn't too expensive and in a great location (very nice pub across the road called Sine). It was a bonus to have a small ironing room in the corridor next door to me where I could iron my shirt before I went out. Only negative was... More

Dear Lynda, Thank you for your review. It is a pity you did not bring any of your grievances to the front desk staff after being moved to the triple room. We could have offered you another room for your family, that would have been more to your liking. But you did not bring to our attention that you were... More

I booked in for 1 night and left in the middle of it. I am easily pleased but this place was horrible. It was a hovel. It was dirty, cold, the bed room doors didn't even lock and any key could have opened them. the photos on the website don't match the rooms. Avoid this place like the plague. I... More

Dear Mr. Dunne, Thank you for you review. It a pity you did not bring any of your grievenances to the front desk staff directly after checking in. Six hours after check in, the staff on duty offered you a choice of a couple of rooms that would be more to your liking but you refused to even look or... More

That was our second stay in Cork City and we were reccomended by our friends to stay at The Ashley Hotel. And we will deifinitely make a return in the future. The staff was very helpful, rooms spacious, bright and clean. They have a fireplace in the bar on the ground floor! Location was excellent and complimentary car park is... More

Staying for the weekend at The Ashley Hotel with friends. Car park, centre of Cork City, good coffee, lovely fireplace... We are staying in two nice rooms with spacious bathrooms. In the evening we had drinks while watching rugby on TV. All in all we are having a great weekend and we'd recommend Ashley Hotel to our friends!

My mum booked this one for the first night we arrived in Ireland - she obviously didn't look at the reviews on this hotel because I can assure you she would not have booked it! Having read the reviews on here I can definitely agree with the bad ones and consider that any good reviews on here must be fake!... More

Thank you for yur review. We are dissapointed to find such negative view of our hotel which has been family run since 1963 in Cork City. We found your feedback upsetting and I cannot agree with all of the points that you included in the review. We have put a lot of effort recently in renovating our hotel and that... More

The Ashley Hotel is a very cosy family run hotel right in the centre of Cork city. It is an affordable, comfortable hotel tucked away on Coburg St but still close enough to all the central shops, pubs and restaurants. While I have stayed at posher hotels before, the difference with the Ashley hotel is that all the staff are... More

(deep narrator voice from Twilight Zone) "Imagine a room, neither in this dimension nor the next. Past the dirty blue curtain of doom, beyond the table of isolation" and your somewhere near where this hotel experience takes you. Staff were very very friendly. They offered transport advise, activities and called up to our room 5 mins after we got in to ask if everything was OK. Room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but quite dated in decor. The shower was in the bath and the water pressure was very very weak. Also, when you flushed... More
