Lazy Sunday lunch with friends. On a shopping weekend to the city. We heard a lot of good reviews about the food in the the hotel. We were very impressed, the service was quick, the portion sizes were more than enough, and the food waas great. Loved the decor. Staff very happy at their work which is something I like... more

Am afraid this is a rather belated review.(didn't have internet then) We came here in october 2006.You approach this hotel via a driveway through some very impressive well maintained grounds.Reception area a bit of a let down after the external grandeur, quite old fashioned though clean and tidy.Wasn't overly impressed with the room either, right by the hotels' generators which were noisy... more

Our friends have been talking about Suttons Bar & Bistro for ages and we finally got around to trying out the menu last night on the way home from work. We love our seafood and were delighted with the selection on offer from Suttons menu, and the option of having a selection of starters as a main course really appealed.... more

I stayed in the Rochestown Park Hotel for the June Bank Holiday weekend with a friend as part of the Supervalu Breaks. The hotel is in a good location near Douglas and it looks impressive from the outside. The hotel lobby is also impressive and the new decor is lovely. The rooms are certainly comfortable and again the decor was... more

I stayed at the Rochestown Park Hotel from April to June 2009 (six weeks in total). This hotel is located in a wonderful, peaceful area being just off the village of Douglas (a sort of suburb of Cork City). During my stay, I spent four nights in an Executive Room in the main building of the hotel, and then spent... more

Very high standard for the price and the food in the Bar/ Bistro was fantastic. There is free wifi everywhere and eating was... more

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times while in Cork on business. I cannot reccoment it highly enough. It has been recently refurbished. The rooms are large, and stylishy decorated. Food in the bar is amazing, and not too expensive. There is a very large leisure centre including gym, pool and spa. Staff were very friendly. Plenty... more

I stayed in this hotel before the upgrade/building work, it was a little bit down at it's heels & justified alot of poor reviews it was getting. On returning for the May b/h weekend, I was immediately struck by the HUGE improvements. The new reception area is very impressive & follows on with re-designed & re-furbished rooms, spacious & comfortable... more

Dear Trip Advisor Member, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of the great experience you had with us. The hotel, indeed, underwent an €18 million refurbishment last year. The reception, as you rightly pointed out is very different from the old with lots of space and natural light. This follows through to all public areas and...
