Very nice hosts....We had a spare tire on our rental and they directed us to a auto shop near by. When I say directed....he actually drove in front of us to make sure we got there ok and then stayed and waited with us. The B&B was with in walking distance of anything and everything you would want to see.... More

Stayed four nights (3/2014). Typical Euro layout--common shared bathroom, rooms on the small side, but not too small. Amenities included free WiFi and TV (both worked really well), also large Irish breakfast each morning. Place was spotlessly clean, beds were new and comfortable, the pillows were soft, and the street and hotel were quiet at night (place rates very high... More

In the fall 2013 my wife and I toured Ireland for 5 weeks by bus (Bus Eireann). No driving for us on the “wrong” side of the street! We chose lodging based primarily on 1) Location : close walking distance to center of town 2) TripAdvisor evaluations 3) cost (value). We stayed primarily in B & B’s. Our 4 nights... More

Butter Market B&B Spent 4 nights at Butter Market. Nicely located just a short walk (5-10 min) to the center of Cork city. The room and bathroom are typical European size rooms. Room is nice, you share the bathroom. The owners Martin & his wife Margaret, were wonderful people, very friendly. Martin, would always have a full Irish breakfast for... More

Myself and two fellow travelers stayed for five nights this past week and cannot say enough good things about the warm & welcoming hospitality shown us by Martin & Margaret. We loved the location just two blocks north of the river in a quiet residential neighborhood with window views to historic Firkin Crane dance theatre, and one block to Butter... More

My husband and I stayed at this B&B for two nights while on "Holiday" in Ireland. We had a wonderful time and Martin was amazing. He made great recommendations for a great day trip, dinner locations, and fun pubs with live music. We were stressed out when we arrived at this B&B due to a few wrong turns on the... More

We stayed here one night during our trip to Ireland. I really recommend this B&B because a) Martin b) location c) Martin. He's a lovely man and made us feel very welcome. The room was a little small, but charming! And really it was so close to the city center of Cork! And secure parking and wifi, we felt well... More

We've been sleeping in this B&B 3 nites few weeks ago, during our second visit in Ireland. What they say about Martin and family, is exactly the truth: kind, lovely and very caring ones, including the dog, Sammy! That actually the owner defined as "almost a cat", for it needs to be pet, and almost purrs! The room (a double... More
