My mum and I stayed here for 1 night. We were going to a concert at the Marquee. I picked this hotel as it had a bus going to the concert venue. The first room we were giving was dirty and scruffy. The plastic surround on the bath was hanging off. Nothing like the images on the website. The 2nd... more

Have never stayed in a hotel where all the staff are friendly and courteous. Room had everything you needed with a modern and spotlessly clean bathroom. Lovely breakfasts and very nicely prepared evening meals. Leisure centre has a pool large enough to do a few lengths and also has jacuzzi, suana and steam room all which were clean and well... more

Room was spartan and small. parking lot was terribly small, cars parked on top of each other. Not a far walk from downtown, but not located in a safe part of town. Make one wrong turn out of the driveway and you're in nowhere-land. Would not recommend. more

We stayed for two nights at a very good rate. The rooms were very basic but clean. The self service breakfast was OK - the usual range of cereals and cooked breakfasts, all self-service. The location is great, five minutes from the Opera house and the city centre generally. It is right next to Shandon steeple which was not a... more

I was asked to attend an interview in Cork for a teaching position. As I live in Dublin and the first train would get in a little late, I stayed over the night before, to be fresh for my 1oam interview. What a mistake! The hotel I chose, the Maldron, is very near the Shandon bells, which were being reprogrammed... more

Stayed for 2nights. The Hotel is located very close to Shandon Steeple and within walking distance from St. Patrick's street and Bus station by just walking down and crossing the bridge. The hotel ambiance was average. Initally the double room was too small. Then they upgraded to a larger room. The facilities need more of maintenance. Believe it was originally... more

The hotel is located very near the city, 5 minute walk so it was an ideal base for visiting cork. It is located in a historical part of cork with the shandon bells behind the hotel. On our first night i found it difficult to sleep with the bells as i am a light sleeper so i told the receptionist.... more

This hotel is in a great location, just 5 minutes from the city centre. It has a fabulous bar that serves really good food & a fab restaurant too. The breakfast is great as there is loads of choice & make sure you fill yourself up as meals in Cork are quite expensive. Staff were really friendly. Room was big... more

The hotel was superbly situated for a tourist - right beneath St Ann's Church (the Bells of Shandon) and an easy walk into town. Room was very comfortable, and spotless. Staff very helpful, and the breakfast superb. The hotel amenities were extensive (though we didn't have time to try them). Car park was very busy - but plenty of room... more
