Bru Bar was my first stop in Ireland, located the closest to the bus station, short walk to town. Checkin was efficient and basic, glad to be given a map- though the blarney bus was circled incorrectly by the receptionist as from the street. It in fact leaves from the bus station. This delayed my day by about 30mins due... More

The room was so so tiny that I could barely breathe - let alone open suitcases up. I was glad I was only here for one night, especially as I was sharing a room with 3 German girls who had 'Sarah Connor - From Sarah with Love' blasting out of their ipod speakers on loop for the short time I... More

The room was really small but what I hated was the mould on the mattress of bunk above me. It was disgusting. But honestly being a student I have seen worse so it wasn't the end of the world. They have a nice lounge and kitchen area with lovely paintings on the wall. But it just didn't seem to have... More

After spending many nights in lots of hostels around the word i can say that Bru Hostel is a really nice place. It's central, there's a lot going in the area and at the bar downstairs - so you would imagine that it's quite exhausting staying there for a longer time but in my experience it was not a problem... Stayed here with a group of friends for a weekend away. Staff are very accomodating, facilities are good. having a bar attached was certainly a nice addition :) If you were looking for a quite hostel its probably more on the "lively" side

Centrico mas o menos, pero habitaciones bastante pequenyas y no muy limpias. Al estar en el hostal te hacen descuento en algunas consumiciones en el pub. Good location more or less, but rooms really small. Not very clean. With deals and discounts in the pub for being in the hostel.

The Bru Bar was exactly what I was expecting. Very central, but very basic. I spent two nights in a mixed dorm and it had all of the basic facilities that worked just fine. As long as its hygienic, who is this budget backpacker to complain! The live music downstairs was wicked, the bar staff super friendly and the beers... More

Clean, friendly, convenient. The rooms are bit small and the showers have your standard push button faucets, but overall its a good place to come crash after sightseeing and staying out all night. Oh and no A/C, but that's no big deal as it's cool enough at night. The bar downstairs is good and live music every night.. not the cheesy... More

This was my first stay in a hostel and it was what I expected. We were very close to the action of Cork and it was great. Was travelling with three people and we were able to get our own room with a shower. Great water pressure to get clean. Was great for one night but would not have wanted... More
