Hotel was beautiful but the location of some of the rooms was terrible. Don't stay in Room 123 as ventilation system outside window and can be very noisy and room 128 has a taxi rank right outside the window which is extremely noisy at night time at the weekends. Enjoyed stay in Cork and the rooms were nice enough but... more

Even though our room didn't have a great view (well, it wasn't even a good one) and much light, it was very clean and charming. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spotless (with Aveda products) and really, this place has the nicest staff -- very friendly, super helpful. Loved it. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. more

The Imperial Hotel is a truly beautiful hotel. It is ideally located within the city centre but in an area that is very quiet but a small walk from the main city centre and charming little backstreet shops and markets. The hotel itself has a wonderful bar, a visual delight as well as place to relax and a little coffee/patissarie.... more

We checked in the early evening to a superior king size room which had been booked well in advance, however, when we reached room I was very disappointed – room contained king size bed and then just empty space filled with one lonely arm chair. Room was downright dingy and its window looked straight out onto another wall of the... more

The Imperial was offering a 3 nights for the price of 2 at just €138 pps to include daily breakfast and 1 dinner evening. This was an excellent offer for such a fine hotel in the city centre. It offered an opportunity to immediately access the web of narrow streets behind the hotel without having to drive in from the... more

I stayed at the Imperal this weekend, and thought it was brilliant. The staff were very welcoming and friendly as soon as we arrived. The hotel is quite old fashioned but definitely in a good way. It has a nice vibe and atmosphere to it. We had a superior room, and thought it was really comfortable and homely. It was... more

I recently had the pleasure of spending a couple of nights in this hotel and could not speak more highly of it. We ate in the hotel restuarant and everything was fabulous, food quality and service. The room was large, recently refurbished and had everything we needed. Breakfast always hot & tasty and lots of choice. A really well run... more

Possibly we had our hopes up booking a Superior room in this hotel but it was a bit disappointing. There are so many wonderful features to this hotel. The location could not be better. The dinner at Pembroke Restaurant was amazing. The Aveda Spa was wonderful... for 3 consecutive days (massages, vitality suite). The room was where we had issues.... more

We were walk-ins...we didn't have a previous reservation. We found it on our car satellite guide. It was a lovely hotel - the oldest in all of cork. Very lovely architecture. The room was clean and nicely decorated. No complaints. Definitely stop in the cafe downstairs. The decor is amazing! Within walking distance to many pubs and restaurants and shopping... more
