The Imperial Hotel is an older hotel and while clean an well maintained it suffers from its age. the carpets in the room were old. The floor had a definite slope to it. I would venture that the difference in floor elevation from window to entry door was at least one to two inches. The lack of air conditioning was... More

We were caught short on time and had to stay overnight in Cork City. The Imperial wouldn't normally spring to mind as the first choice of places to stay, but it will be from now on. The staff dealing with the reservation on the 'phone through to the Hall Porters were brilliant. The price was mid-range but good value for... More

We stayed in the hotel on the 3 day imperial package. It consisted of 3 nights b and b, 1 evening meal in Pembroke Restaurant, 1 afternoon tea in hotel , a free ticket for the city hop on/off bus tour, lunch in the English Market and a gift from spa on departure. We could not fault the package which... More

We had a lovely stay in the Imperial Hotel, the room was bright, airy and spacious and the SPA was lovely, so relaxing and a must visit!! The staff were very friendly, especially the lovely manager in the restaurant. However the only small issue, phoned reception before arrival, to be told by receptionist that she did not know the area... More

Stayed in this hotel a few months ago. Decided to treat myself to a night away as I was a single mother to a 2 1/2 year old and I was very tired! Was going to choose The River Lee Hotel (which I should have done) but driving past this hotel as I often did made me curious to see... More

Stayed here the night after our wedding, our room wasn't available until 4pm, on a day where we had a family function to attend. The desk staff were rude, we reserved a superior room at a superior rate but did not get the value we expected. Cork is our home town where we visit on a regular basis. We will... More

We stayed here with the Imperial Experience 2 night package. From the moment we entered the hotel we were made to feel very welcome. All of the ladies at the Reception desk were friendly, efficient and welcoming. Kevin at the Concierge desk was very helpful - he looked after our bags as we had arrived before check-in time and offered... More

I have just spent 4 nights in this hotel with my husband but part of an organised tour of 48 people. I loved this hotel and can only recommend it highly, not only for the excellent food but the very friendly and helpful staff and the handy location in the centre of Cork itself. Yes we did have a room... More

Stayed for 2 nights at the Imperial. The location could not be better to explore this lovely city. The cafe is delightful with original tiles around the walls and beautiful ceiling work. The staff were very efficient and helpful. We found Cork very compact and easily explored from this fantastic base. The only disappointment was the lack of view (other... More

Stayed here two nights when running the Cork Marathon during the Bank holiday weekend in June. 5 min walk to the start/finnishing area. Old, genuine atmosphere, boutique hotel fans better look somewhere else! Excellent location downtown.Very comfortable beds. Quiet room in the back of the hotel. The WiFi didn´t work very well, the network advised by the hotell didn´t work... More
