We stayed at the Imperial for one night in July 2014. The room was absolutely boiling hot despite the outside temp being in the range of 18-22 degrees. The heat wasn't on but we had a room that overlooked the internal "courtyard", which was very industrial and had the fans etc for the kitchens/air conditioning units. The pigeons had also... More

Hotel is very central but the room was really small and much too warm and couldn't open the window because of the night club across the road.needless to say we were exhausted the following morning. The staff were excellent

No on-site parking, the private lot was about a five minute walk from the hotel - not a problem unless it's raining. We were in Room 222 which was quite hot and the window opened on a noisy alleyway. The room was clean but overall it's not a place we'd go back to.

First impression- warm welcome; friendly atmosphere, impressive 'old world' entrance. We had superior double room with queen size bed (luxurious). Hotel has maybe 'old fashioned decor' but we like that - go to a modern boutique hotel if you want air conditioning etc! Whole hotel has a homely atmosphere - but for all that all the staff we met had... More

Had dinner here recently and went for the 'Early Bird' menu. The choice was limited and there was a 5 Euro supplement for the Steak option. I ordered a Medium/Rare steak. When it came it was more Medium/Well Done. The service was slow, probably because of the Cork-Limerick match which was on earlier. I have eaten here many times in... More

We had a great time at the hotel. It's an excellent location if you are wanting to be in the heart of the city. Our room was a good size, comfortable but slightly warm (no aircon) at night. The staff were very attentive and no shortage if interesting visitors willing to stop and chat - full of oversees visitors. The... More
