We stayed at the Ferncliff House in late June and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Our room was large, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Breeda helped us with our travel plans and gave a great recommendation for dinner at the Ambassador just around the corner. The B&B is a 10 minute walk into the downtown area and we... More

I have been staying at the Ferncliff House B&B each summer for past 9 years, and continue to return because of Breeda and Shaun, the warm and friendly hosts. I would not think of staying anywhere else in Cork; it is truly like coming home each year. Not only is the B&B warm and cozy (even in early summer, Cork... More

Our very first experience staying at a B&B was here and it was awesome. Breeda was very friendly and helpful with many good ideas of what to see & do. Loved her suggestion of Dan Lawreys pub! Our attic room was large, quiet and had a great view of Cork. The breakfast was authentic as well.

Myself, my boyfriend and his parents stayed at this B&B in Sept for 2 nights. We absolutely love Breeda and her husband. They are so thoughtful, so nice, and really show an interest in there guests. Breeda was always at the front door when we arrived back from sightseeing or dinner asking how our day or evening was. She would... More

Breeda was the nicest host we had in the two weeks. The rooms are fine and clean and the brekfast was delicous! It's only ten minutes to walk to city centre and there is a nice pub two minutes away. If you won't stay here you'll miss something! @Breeda We baked your bread yesterday and it was delicous! Thanks so... More

Ms. Breeda was very nice. The house was quaint, the room was nice and clean. Our view from the bedroom window was amazing. Although we had the one room with a detached bathroom, the bathroom was very nice and updated. Ms. Breeda was very helpful in making sure we visited the sites that we wanted to visit while we were... Breeda is absolutely lovely. We felt like we were at home in no time. She gave us great suggestions for what to do and see while we were there. She is full of information and gave me a great tip about where to look for information about my family's history in Cork. I love love love this place and I... More

After an active day, we felt like we were coming home. The owner was very welcoming and did everything possible for us to have a good visit in Cork. Breakfasts were delicious. Breeda is not intrusive but if you want to chat, she takes a genuine interest in her guests and their interests. Parking on the street, but good area.... More

My mom and I were visiting Ireland for the first time. We found the hospitality, breakfast and location wonderful. For Southerners, southeast US, who are known for hospitality -- Breeda and husband, Shaun, were delightful hosts. They recommended a wonderful eatery (Green's) which was the best food we ate in Ireland. If you drive up to the B & B,... More

I don't understand what the Italian lady had to complain about. We stayed in the same room and yes it was compact -but it was bigger than the one we enjoyed in Via Condotti for €400 and only a bit smaller than the one in Venice for €1100 a night. But they were all unique and wonderful experiences. Breeda and... More
