We stayed 2 nights on short notice. Betty was warm & welcoming whilst also being helpful with advice on local dining, transport and places to visit. The House and rooms were very generous and immaculate, very we'll presented. Betty was very accommodating with breakfast choices. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family.

me and my best friend stayed in April, this place is truly a lovely nice place to stay. Betty is down to earth and helpful, polite and a laugh to have a conversation with. We saved money by having the full irish breakfast as we did not eat for the rest of the day as we were stuffed full of... More

Betty has done an excellent job perfecting her B&B experience! The home is gorgeous with its decor, large sunroom, and pictures of Betty's family adding the feel of being at home rather than in a stale hotel. The house is wonderful, but Betty's presence is what really shines through. She is soft-spoken and gracious, ready to make you feel a... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my two-night stay at the Acorn Lodge B&B. The house and the room I stayed in were beautifully appointed. The "lady of the house" Betty was most convivial, considerate and gracious. The freshly-cooked breakfast was superb and presented in a lovely dining room. It is easy to navigate to the B&B and access to the city is... More

I cannot praise Betty enough! Absolutely spotless accommodation and a real home from home. Betty runs a proper B&B and as noted by other reviewers the breakfasts are amazing. Betty is not only a fount of knowledge on Cork but was good enough to organise cabs for us and even told the cab drivers what she expected her guests to... More

Beautiful, comfortable, and immaculate accommodations. Betty is a sweetheart and a fabulous host. The Acorn Lodge was the first B & B we had ever stayed in and Betty set some pretty high standards for the rest to follow. Excellent food (you've got to try the "full Irish breakfast"…trust me, you won't need to spend money on lunch as you... More

Our hostess Betty was so gracious and helpful, every ready to aid us with directions to places we wanted to go. Her home is beautifully furnished... every bit as nice and comfortable as a five-star hotel! We were traveling with another couple and we each had a large sleeping room with private bath. Betty is waiting... book with her now!!

I stayed at the Acorn (Oval) Lodge BnB on Rochestown Road about 15 minutes out of Cork City for several nights and can recommend it wholeheartedly. The building was exceptional, the room and en suite spacious and comfortable and the included breakfasts were first rate. Betty was always there with answers to my questions and advice for seeing the sights.... More

I stayed at Betty's many years ago with my parents and decided to revisit with my boyfriend now I'm all grown up! :) I was so happy to see that Betty's standard was as as good if not better than it always was! The house is immaculate and beautifully presented, our room was clean, warm and cozy! Our bed amazingly... More
