Lovely guesthouse in Cork, within walking distance of the English Market and other shopping venues. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice Irish breakfast. Being a guesthouse there is no elevator but they will carry your luggage up to your room if you need assistance. There is sufficient parking in front and around back of the building. Not a lot of... The Blarney Stone Guesthouse is charming inside and out. It is conveniently located to the University and is a good base for shopping, pubs and a tour of the old prison (if you enjoy walking). Angela is a gracious hostess ad greeted us warmly upon arrival. So, why only three stars? Our room was a disappointment -- very small, dark... More

A friend and I stayed 1 night in this beautifully decorated guesthouse with its antique style furnishings and large paintings adding to its character. This may not be to everyones taste as people tend to enjoy the contempory look but it was right up our street. We had a twin room and it was comfortable clean and elegant. tad small... More

We had a room here recently (it was booked for us by a colleague) and were disappointed. The neighborhood, while not terrible, is a ways away from downtown and parking is limited. The inn itself looks quaint from the outside, but the rooms are small, with dated furnishings and bedding (pet peeves are super flat pillows and thin, worn sheets)... More

I stayed with a party of 2 others in the Blarney Stone on the 14/12/12. I was met by the landlady Angela who was very friendly welcoming us to the accommodation with instruction for breakfast. The house is immaculate and decorated beautifully. Our rooms were doubles and very comfortable. I would have liked to have had more time in the... More

Stayed here 3 nights last month. Excellent position to Cork. Literally a 10 minute walk into the city centre and all the bars and pubs and restaurants. The quality of the furnishings are stunning and very elegant in the public areas. The furniture is beautiful. The rooms are adequate, ours was rather small and had no view, but was very... More

Found this Guesthouse hard to find due to the fact there was no number for the road. The road is one way so once you have found it the chances are you will have to turn around again especially if you have to park out the back. Apart from those little problems it was very comfortable and our host was... More

We felt as though we were living in an alternate universe from others who had stayed here and commented unfavorably. I will agree that rooms are rather small, but they are beautifully furnished (if not to everyone's taste) and carefully maintained. Our room (#6) had ample storage allowing us to unpack and stow everything including our luggage. Perhaps smaller rooms... More
