I spent two nights here and I could have easily stayed longer (alas my plans were to travel onward). The hostel is across the street from the train station, so I didn't have to lug my bags all over the place. The price is certainly right, only 13 euros a night for the eight person dorm (wasn't full when I... More

We stayed in March upon our journey to Dublin for St Patricks day. The Lady that checked us in was incredibly knowledgeable about the city. The location is not too far from the train station as well as the bus that will take you out to Blarney Castle. Overall i enjoyed my stay and was happy with everything.

It looks like a big family house and the hostess could be your auntie. The hostess is really nice and she's the one who keeps the hostel always clean and tidy. I stayed only for 1 night and the room was pretty spacious. Unfortunatly most of the dorms have no bathroom but the shared ones are big and everything's is... More

Traveling abroad with my daughter and NOT renting car so location to public transport was of most importance. This hostel is literally across the street from the Kent station barely a minutes walk. Our plane was late so we missed our first train to Cork and were rushing to beat that 2 p.m. deadline when they close the door for... More

You can see it from the train station and it's a short walk from the bus station and city centre. Tracy, the owner, is approachable and gives great advice. She booked a great tour to Kinsale, Blarney, and Cobh for us. The hostel is clean and well-maintained. It was one of the only hostels I've been to with a clean... More

Great for backpackers! Three friends and I recently stayed there for two nights and had a really good time. It's cheap, everything is clean, the showers were hot, it's a very short walk to the city and everything else you need, and Tracy is absolutely wonderful with loads of information about the city and hilarious jokes on the side. The... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Aaran Hostel in October 2011. Working in the backpacker industry, I found Araan House very comfortable and clean. The rooms and linen where clean and warm on both our overnight stays. The hostel is located close to the city centre and right across the bus stop. Quiet area but close enough to the nightlife... I stayed here with three friends for two nights in one of the dorm rooms. We found it to be very home-y and felt comfortable using the kitchen and the TV room. Everything was very clean (although there is a dog, but he is totally calm). The owner, Tracy, was extremely helpful. It is a 15 minute walk from everything,... More

I went to this hostel with my friends about 1 month ago. We didn´t like nothing. It´s far from the city center. You have to walk about 15 minutes. Beds are uncomfortable and it´s too dirty. They have dogs. So, imagine with the carpet. how disgusting. When someone close the door, you can listen it in the whole hostel. The worst... More

Aaran House Tourist Hostel is run a by a nice lady called Tracy, witha little help from her mother and a dog called Riley. They are a good lot, very friendly and helpful, they give the place a homely feel and really try to look after the people who come and stay. This hostel seems more like a bed and... More
