Nice basic room, breakfast was beautiful! I'd recommend the French toast, best I've ever had by far. Very friendly hosts, couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable. Easy to navigate, cosy and warm.

I selected this B&B on the basis of tripadvisor comments and my wife and I were not disappointed. Conveniently located a short walk from the centre of town with an all-important car park in the rear. Our room was clean and comfortable. Aideen and Tim were welcoming and helpful with advice and quick calls to summon taxis. Ample breakfast selections... More

Great central location for city and UCC/CIT. The fact that there is parking is definitly as bonus in Cork. Serendiptiy is a wonderful extra and breakfast was brilliant in both taste and options. The staff are wonderful and can't do enough for you - however the front door key I was given didn't appear to be working. Not a problem... More

I loved it. A warm welcome from Tim and Aideen upon a late evening arrival, offer of a cuppa and plenty of good advice from Tim on how to get about to where I needed to go in Cork as well as the use of their iron as I was not organised enough to have it done for mytravels. :-D... More

Lovely welcoming staff and the cafe connected is very convenient. We were upgraded to a bigger bed which was really nice of the owner. Rooms were clean. It was about a six minute walk into town. I liked that it was away from the night life so you don't have the noise but close enought to enjoy the night life.... More

Denise and Marty were lovely hosts. the bedroom was tastefully decorated, well furnished and equiped, the bed very comfortable and there were nice cosmetics in the bathroom. We had a quick overnight stay in Cork on July 29th, and while we didn't spend much time in our room, it was very good while we were there. Our room was pretty small but was very clean and comfortable, and was just a short walk to the city centre. We had a good breakfast in the morning before we... More

We planned an extensive two week vacation in Ireland and spent two wonderful days in Cork on a Friday and Saturday. Aideen & Tim were excellent hosts! They both greeted us and suggested many activities in the local area. Their adjacent restaurant, the Serendipity, provided relaxing musical entertainment and delicious dining. The morning's breakfast was extraordinary. The selections included a... More

Anam Cara is a lovely comfortable guest house - and the breakfasts are fantastic, I was spoilt for choice! The meals are served in their lovely cafe Serendipity which is adjacent to the hotel. It's a lovely atmospheric cafe and they serve lunch, tea and dinner there if you are around the city! Anyone can come and use the cafe... More
