The best things about this place are the location and the breakfast. My mother and godmother stayed here for 4 nights when they came to visit me in Cork. They had a front room (#4) with two twin beds. The room was rather small with a tiny television that did not work and the beside drawers will full of a... More

We stayed at the Anam Cara B & B for one week 4th - 11th May 2013, and were very happy with the excellent service, food, and warm & friendly welcome by Aideen & Tim and staff, There is plenty of parking around the rear of the property, The room was of a high standard with a comfortable bed, which... We stayed here for 3 nights and booked a room at the back of the house (No 8). The room was quite small with a tiny bathroom but had everything we needed. Parking is at rear of the house. The room was clean and we didn't hear any noise from the street. It's a short walk to town along the... More

Three nites at this B&B. Owners very accommodating. Room was adequate with a few quirky features. Cord to coffee/tea pot was short and plugged in to fixture near floor. But dinners at adjoining Serendipity Cafe were fabulous. We ate there twice and flavors, textures and presentation were top notch. Among our selections were monkfish, hake, mussels and steak were all... More

Found this B&B just outside the city centre. The owners are really friendly and helpful, made us feel at home. We ate at their fabulous little restaurant next door Cafe Serendipity, which served beautiful food. We would recommend this place to stay and will certainly stay here again next time we're in the city. The rooms are fairly large and... More

We stayed for one night during our holiday around Ireland. It's a great solution to visit Cork, mainly if travelling by car. It has got a car parking just in front and it's at a walking distance from the city center. The room was very confortable. Good breakfast, served in the restaurant just beside, run by the same owners and... More

Got a single room for 1 night on the first floor. Comfortable and big bed, clean and warm room, perfect position just 10 minutes walking from the city centre, zone is quiet and I didn't hear any noise coming from the other rooms. Free and safe parking provided on the back of the B&B. I didn't have the chance to... More

Stayed for one night with my wife. Very central location, friendly efficient reception, clean comfortable accomodation with very good breakfast. Reasonably priced. Stayed in Room 9 which overlooks the street, cant say whether its the double glazing or what but I did'nt hear a sound from outside and I was stone cold sober! Guess noise is generally not a problem.

My husband & I were delighted with our 3 night stay with Tim & Aideen @ Anam Cara B&B. Rooms were clean with a good sturdy bed which is important to us. The food in the Serendipity restaurant was amazing and the service was quick & friendly. Highly recommended.

My wife and I enjoyed our 4 night stay at Anam Cara. The room was clean and well appointed, with a two-way opening window to let in the cool September air. The Tourism office was a 10 minute walk and the Cork central bus station was only 15 minutes away. We stayed long enough to sample all of the breakfast... More
