This is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in. John and Helen made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms are great and the breakfast was enough to keep you going the whole day. Our three day stay was most memorable and I would recommend this to anyone who wants a really... More

Delightful. Informative. Hospitable. Accommodating. Witty. Lovely garden. John and Helen are the hosts that a B&B traveler wishes to meet. The conversation was genuine and the rooms were welcoming. Guests are truly made to feel at home.

My friend and I stayed at Glencairn November 2013 and had a wonderful stay. The home was clean and welcoming and the hosts were fantastic. The house is just 5 miles from the center of Cork (traffic may make it feel a bit longer, but outside of rush hour it took just minutes to get there). It was the perfect... More

My daughter and I stayed in this B & B in October/13. We had a most pleasant time. John was helpful with directions, shared his stories of the interesting articles in his home, shared his and his wife's garden(which is inviting and warm). The room was tidy, comfortable. Breakfast was charming in the 'solarium-like' room. I will definitely book again... More

John and Helen were incredibly kind and gracious hosts. My fiance and I had stayed just one night at the Glencairn Bed and Breakfast in early October, but it was a welcome respite after staying at a rowdy, run down B&B in Cork. The rooms at the Glencairn B&B were cozy, with a beautiful view. The bathroom was private and... More

My sister and I stayed here the first night of our first trip to Ireland. We loved it. It was just outside of cork which was great. I found myself enjoying the country more than the cities on our trip. We had a very comfortable room with our own bathroom. Breakfast was also great. Great selection and our host even... More

John and Helen were two of the brightest, most generous and informative people I came in contact with.......their B&B and grounds are right out of a dream come true......very peaceful and serene. They were also helpful with helping me find a wonderful place to stay on Sheepshead Peninsula.

The strengths of this B and B are the very helpful owners john and Helen. The breakfast is reasonable and the bed comfortable. However it failed to reach the standard of the 7 other B&B’s we stayed in for the same/similar price in Ireland so I can only be lukewarm in my recommendations . It's furnished in a style that... We stayed with John for 2 nights on our first trip to Ireland. He was very warm and friendly, turns out he's from the USA and has lived in Ireland for over 40 years. He directed us to a great Pub, the food was much better than I would have expected. The pub food in Ireland was surprisingly good overall!... More

Our stay at the Glencarin B&B was great. John and Helen were very welcoming host and offer great service. The properties are very beautiful and relaxing. It was nice to spend some time sitting outside and enjoy the sun. The breakfast was great! We are highly recommended this place and will come back for sure if we return in Ireland!
