The best thing here are the hosts, John and Helen, they are very friendly and willing to help with anything. The room we had was very clean and comfortable but the bathroom is tiny, so tiny I'd recommend it only to people shorter than 160 cm as otherwise you constantly hit your head into something. Breakfast was ok but probably... More

Helen and John are the most welcoming people! My wife and I stayed for three nights. Their house is very relaxing with a beautiful garden. The recommended places for us to visit and overall a great experience! If you are in town and need a place to rest your head, do it here!

The owners of this B & B were what made this place special. They were both very nice and helped us figure out what to do during our first few days in Ireland. The room itself was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom in the room was a bit small and my husband had to crouch in... More

No frills, no luxury, limited space... well, John and Helen prove that an accomodation can be perfect even without those things. The place is quiet, a few km out of the city center; their house is extremely nice, the garden is fantastic, they are perfect hosts.

I have read a number of the reviews on this B and B. I personally think that the most important aspect of a great B and B is the owners. The other stuff just isn't that important because if there is any little problem or need, the owners will take care of it. In our case, we were running late,... More

My fiance and I stayed at the Glencairn Bed and Breakfast in May 2014 on our way from Killkenny to Cork. We were going to be running late as we were on the road sight seeing all day so we had emailed John and Helen letting them know we would be running late. When we arrived they had a note... More

The gardens were beautiful and John and Helen were nice. They helped a lot with places to eat and how to get there. Helen even helped us find information on our family that came from Ireland. I would recommend this B&B.

Lovely setting for our one-night stay in Cork - adorable house and amazing gardens. Helen and John were extremely friendly, attentive, and hands-on hosts - the house was homey and snug. Accessible to many local attractions.

John and Helen have a lovely home and are wonderful hosts. We stayed there for two nights to begin our Ireland holiday and could not have been happier. Their home is the perfect place for a getaway with family or friends. Breakfast in the conservatory is lovely and I couldn't think of a better way to start out the morning.
