We really enjoyed our stay at knockawn wood! Very kind and helpful owners and it is located in a beautiful peaceful area close to Blarney castle. Great breakfast and free wifi. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend to stay here!!

clean and friendly! Bathroom in our room was quite small and finishes were not exactly first class, a lot of quick DIY projects I believe. The scones upon arrival were lovely as was our tea. The owner was quite helpful when we asked for a place to eat. This B and B was quite close to blarney castle. Breakfasts were... More

This was our 10th B&B, and we found it to be dated, sloppy carpentry work in bath & bedrooms. Showers left a lot to be desired - very small. Rooms also had a smell. Not up to the standards that we had experienced along the way. Breakfast was good. Parking is a bit more than challenging - steep driveway.

This was our first B&B experience and it was great. Close to Blarney Castle and a hour and so drive to Kilarney National Park. We were very welcomed and kids were treated well. Wonderful breakfast with options the kids liked. Word of warning if using a travel site call ahead as the site didn't pass along that we had kids.... More

Knockawn Wood B&B has been one of the best experiences I've had yet in Ireland!! Ita was very helpful and hospitable! Great food, beautiful room, and electric blankets for when it is cold. Really close to Cork city and the Blarney Castle! If you want to be out in the countryside, definitely book here!

We had booked in the B&B although we didn't really know what we could see around Cork. First of all we were welcome with drinks, tea, coffee, orange juice for the children, and scones. Then we were given 2 rooms instead of the family room we had booked. This was really nice from our guest to give us an additional... More

Our stay ere was so wonderful!! The owner was very warm and inviting. Had tea served to us in the beautiful sunroom upon our arrival. Large private bathroom. The food was absolutely incredible! The owner gave us great directions to Blarney Castle and excellent food recommendations. We ate at Blair's a few kilometers down the road and it was the... More

My aunt and I stayed here for only one night and I wish we could have stayed longer! What a peaceful and serene place to stay! It's off the beaten track and up in the hills a bit, with rolling green hills all around for some amazing pictures or just to sit and watch with a cup of tea. I... More

The comment below cannot be further from the truth with what we experienced. Fantastic welcoming environment at the door - always checking to see how our day had been, if we needed anything, offering of tea and coffee etc, felt like coming into a home. The house was set in a beautiful quiet countryside area. The rooms were comfortable and... More

We were in Ireland for 2 weeks and this was the only disappointment we had on the trip. I booked the trip based on other reviews which makes it even more disappointing. Although Ita was very warm and welcoming the accomodations were very much a disappointment. The rooms smelled musty, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the bed linens smelled... More
