I can't think of a single negative thing about this bed and breakfast. The host helped us to track down papers that we left at the airport and was a wonderful source of local information. The house is located close to the center of Ennis on a major street, but we did not hear any noise to impede a good... More

We recently stayed at Glenomra House for a short visit to see Ennis and County Clare. Glenomra House was decent. It's a nice house within walking distance of Ennis' city centre. The rooms are clean, and our host was pleasant. But the house is old, and with an old house come thin walls and creaky floors. We heard our neighbor's... More

Glenomra House was the first B&B that we stayed in during our June 2013 trip. We flew into Shannon early a.m. and Mary had no problem with us checking in early. We honestly felt like we were staying overnight at a friend's house because Mary was so easy to talk to and easy going. Our stay was very relaxing and... More

A lovely large B&B. Just perfect for our needs. Mary is a welcoming hostess and keeps a nice home. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Close to town and with two other hostelries even closer. You won't go thirsty in Ennis.

I stayed at Glenomra House for the Ennis Trad Festival and had a fabulous time there. Mary is a very welcoming hostess and didn't mind us musicians (I was not the only one) play the odd tune in the room and coming home very late from the sessions. My room was very clean and had everything I could wish for.... More

Mary is the most delightful and accommodating hostess you could ever meet! True Irish hospitality at its best! She welcomed us with homemade cake and a pot of tea. Her home is beautiful, the dining room is decorated beautifully and looking through the French doors, you will see a beautiful expanse of perfectly manicured green grass and gardens. Breakfast was... We booked two rooms at Glenomra House on the recommendation of a local family in nearby Ennis. It's a lovely property with super clean rooms, comfortable beds, a superb breakfast and the friendliest, most hospitable hostess I have ever encountered in my last four visits to The Emerald Isle. We enjoyed our stay at Glenomra House so much that we... More

Most people realize that a bed and breakfast facility is different than a hotel. If you are looking for a b and b in Ennis, Ireland (and I recommend visiting Ennis, especially as a gateway to County Clare and the Burren), the Glenomra House is the one you want. Fly into Shannon, a quick bus ride or drive into Ennis... More

So glad Mary had a vacancy the day we stopped in Ennis. Glenomra is a very nice and comfortable place to stay, easy walking distance to city center, very reasonable rates. If ever back this way again we will definitely plan on a stay here.

This was our second B&B while on vacation in Ireland. Mary gave us a warm welcome. The room was very nice. The back yard was lovely. She suggest a nice place to eat, Zest (sp). It was very taste! We had a two night stay, was able to go to the Cliffs of Moher and a Medieval Castle dinner close... More
