I loved the pretty breakfast room and yummy breakfast. And the owner gave us a great recommendation of places to visit besides Bunratty Castle. We had both Quinn Abbey and Knappogue gardens to ourselves that morning, thanks to Mary's typed up directions and advice. Rooms were nice and a nice walk to city center. Fortunately, we were fine with the... More

Grey Gables is a great place to stay if you are visiting Ennis or flying in or out of Shannon airport. We stayed here the night before our flight out of Shannon and it was a perfect spot. The room was very large (great for packing up all of our souvenirs from the trip). Mary was very helpful giving directions... More

Very clean;comfortable;great choice for breakfast, waitress very friendly, old fashioned tv needs updated, only fault was that the owner asked me for money for two towels which I used one on my hair as hair dye went on one of the towels .They were not new towels . I felt the owner made me feel uncomfortable after that.Would not stay there again.

Mary Pearce and her son run this excellent Inn walking distance from the bus and train station and a few blocks from the main town. They are very friendly, helpful, and provide an excellent breakfast and have good suggestions for things to do (see Barratt's Tours). The rooms are large and very comfortable, with a good bathroom/shower, wifi, etc. Prices... More

My children and I enjoyed a lovely time with Mary at Grey Gables. The place is spotless and quiet. Our room was comfortable and the breakfast choices were excellent and served in a bright and cheery room. My son especially liked the excellent wi-fi reception. We visited Ireland, London, Paris, Roma and Munich. Of all of the places that we... More

Spent two nites here very happily. Mary Catherine very eager to make one's stay a pleasant one. Advice, tips and directions; a coffee/tea set up got all-day usage. The only downside was that our room, lovely and comfortable tho it was, was on the second floor ... Up a spiral staircase! Carrying suitcases up, or just maneuvering walking might be... More

Stunningly beautiful and spacious with sitting chairs and lots of room for luggage. Our room was out of an interior design magazine with attention to detail. The dining area is gorgeous with stained glass and high paneled wood ceilings. Everything at breakfast was presented beautifully with delicious abundant foods. One thing we enjoyed was being able to sit at the... More

This B&b is quite convenient if you are arriving by bus or have an early flight out of Shannon. It is an easy walk, with luggage, from the bus / train station, close to town and good dining and a short taxi or bus ride to the airport. It is not too far by bus to Bunratty Castle The B&b... More

We recently spent two nights at Grey Gables. The most positive part of the experience was the location as it was within easy walking distance to the centre of town with its narrow streets, interesting shops, and delightful pubs. We were not pleased with the unpleasant aroma in the hallways at Grey Gables, the almost worthless WIFI (available only with... More

Good place to stay, 5 minute walk to Old Ground Hotel and Pub. Breakfast was superior and more than enough. The only problem we had was that the wifi did not connect up on the second floor, had to go down to the lounge on the first floor to make the connection. Other than that as I said good place...
