We enjoyed our stay here as we felt like we were sampling a little of Irish life. It's not like some B&Bs which are more like little hotels, but a real home. Declan and his mum were very pleasant and friendly. We also enjoyed chatting to other people around the large breakfast table. The location is good, being close to... More

We arrived with a warm welcome by Declan, and great suggestions for dinner. The rooms here are beautiful. Breakfast is very good as well. Declan is a great host. Ennis city center is a short drive from here.

We stayed at Newpark House for 4 days last year and for our entire 7 day trip this year. We couldn't be happier. Declan, his mother Bernie, and other family members are such welcoming and gracious hosts. The restored home gives a feel of how the well to do lived in Ireland a century ago with the added benefit of... More

This house was built in the 1600s. We had a canopied bed. Our room was very clean. The furniture is older and a bit worn, but fits the house. The dining room table was very large and a great way to converse at breakfast with fellow travellers. The grounds are nice and quiet, but reasonably close to the city centre... More

This B&B was nice and cozy with the worn, comfy feel of a house that's been in the family for generations. If you want to get a feel of how it would be to actually live in one of these great Ireland homes without the in your pocket attentiveness of some B&B's this is for you. Great on history. We... This was our fourth return visit to Ennis, and our 4th stay at the Newpark House. You could not ask for a more gracious host. Declan is friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and caring about our stay. The bed in Room 5 is the most comfortable bed we have had in Ireland.! The atmosphere of the 17th century farm house... Loved, Loved, Loved our room! We were there in May for our Anniversary. Our host was helpful and accommodating. Being he is a historian he helped me as well as other guests with tips on finding our genealogy. The breakfast was wonderfully delicious. Great location, in close proximity to Ennis with all their music!

What began as any place to unwind before Shannon stop turned into a real treat. A 300 year old house with the same family owning the property since the early 1900's, providing a warm welcome, and on an almost straight line to a car park in Ennis, it became ideal in a number of ways.

We had two family's of three staying one night on the way out of Shannon. We thought it was more of a throw-away night but then were fully surprised when we pulled into the Newpark House. As mentioned in other postings it turned out to be a real gem. A beautiful old house that was once a farm. There are... More

Newpark offers a comfortable stay and an added bonus of historical links along with a hearty breakfast. Declan and his mother Bernie are attentive hosts. Travellers from three continents shared their experiences of an Irish Summer around the dining room's breakfast table. Homemade scones, soda bread, black currant jam and porridge - all thanks to Bernie - supplement Declan's cooked breakfasts.... More
