This was our fourth return visit to Ennis, and our 4th stay at the Newpark House. You could not ask for a more gracious host. Declan is friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and caring about our stay. The bed in Room 5 is the most comfortable bed we have had in Ireland.! The atmosphere of the 17th century farm house... Loved, Loved, Loved our room! We were there in May for our Anniversary. Our host was helpful and accommodating. Being he is a historian he helped me as well as other guests with tips on finding our genealogy. The breakfast was wonderfully delicious. Great location, in close proximity to Ennis with all their music!

What began as any place to unwind before Shannon stop turned into a real treat. A 300 year old house with the same family owning the property since the early 1900's, providing a warm welcome, and on an almost straight line to a car park in Ennis, it became ideal in a number of ways.

We had two family's of three staying one night on the way out of Shannon. We thought it was more of a throw-away night but then were fully surprised when we pulled into the Newpark House. As mentioned in other postings it turned out to be a real gem. A beautiful old house that was once a farm. There are... More

Newpark offers a comfortable stay and an added bonus of historical links along with a hearty breakfast. Declan and his mother Bernie are attentive hosts. Travellers from three continents shared their experiences of an Irish Summer around the dining room's breakfast table. Homemade scones, soda bread, black currant jam and porridge - all thanks to Bernie - supplement Declan's cooked breakfasts.... More

My husband and I were very impressed with Newpark House. This is a unique place and knowing that there is an interesting history attached to it made it more appealing to us. We were lucky to get a room with a balcony overlooking one of the garden paths. The shower looked new and the bed was super comfortable. Once you're... More

Four of us stayed at the NewPark House for 2 nights. What a gem. This house was built in 1750 and the current owners have owned it since 1904. The host, Declan, was courteous and very focused on making our stay comfortable and fun. This is an old house with lots of charm and character. It is exactly the kind... More

This lodging establishment was built in the 1700s and has been owned by the family since 1904. Declan, the current Innkeeper, runs it entirely on his own! It is clean and the breakfast is excellent. The structure is dark by virtue of its era and the grounds a bit overgrown. It is about 2K from town although there is a... More

My husband and I spent one night at Newpark House in October when we visited Ireland for one week for our wedding anniversary. We spent the day at the Cliffs of Moher and headed to Ennis and Newpark House for the night. Driving up to the house is incredible as it seems that one is turning the corner from the... More

My wife and daughter gasped with joy as we drove up to Newpark House and thanked me profusely for choosing it. We had the best of times there thanks to Declan and his mother Bernie who made us feel like returning royalty. I can only imagine what our tenant farmer Irish ancestors would think about their descendants being treated with... More
