We used Ennis as the hub for three days exploring Co Clare and Co Galway and stayed at Newpark House. The room was large and we had our own balcony. Breakfast was not only delicious, but we had a new set of visitors from Europe, UK, and the US every morning to share experiences and recommendations. The house is outside... more

let's fast forward to the feather beds. Heaven! Now, all in all this B and B is head and shoulders above the rest. Having said that it is diffficult to find an inadequate B and B in Ireland. in most cases, what you see is what you get. You could pick a 'lemon' but you would know before you went... more

We just returned from a ten day trip to Ireland. We spent three nights at Newpark House near the end of our trip. It is ideally located for trips to the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle, etc. As soon as we pulled into the driveway we knew we had found a jewel. The hosts are very accommodating and... more

I recently spent two nights at the Newpark House in Ennis. The outside of the house was quite lovely... very "castle like". The surrounding yards and woods made you feel like you were in the country when in fact you were within walking distance of a good sized shopping area and restaurant. The beds were the most comfortable of our... more

We stayed at Newpark house for four nights in September and would defintely return ---and recommend it to friends. It's quirky, welcoming and wonderful. I am a life-long insomniac and asthmatic yet fell asleep as soon as I hit the pillow. Rooms were clean and quiet. Decor is bohemian and fun. There were little things that might have annoyed some... more

There are many great things about Newpark House - the hosts, the rooms, the breakfasts - but, for those interested in local or family history, its extensive library is a treasure. If you have Irish roots, Declan Barron is a great source of information and tips for researching them. There is more historical information available in Newpark House than anywhere... more

We stayed one night at Newpark House in August, 2006. We were fortunate to find the two rooms we needed free -- a last-minute cancellation was good luck for us! The house was clean. Both my husband and I have allergies and had no adverse reactions in the room we were in. The water pressure was fine. Walking around in... more

We spent two lovely nights at Newpark house in July of 2006. We found the rooms to be comfortable, well kept and clean. The owners were very helpfull and friendly and the location was very convient as well (though the house is a bit difficult to find). The breakfest was also very good. We will stay there again when in... more

When we pulled up to Newpark House, I got a rush of excitement. It is a beautiful and kind of scary looking house from the outside - exactly what I was hoping for. When we got inside, however, my feelings quickly changed. Although the rooms are really interesting, and the hosts are very nice, I was really disappointed with the... more

The Newpark House was a most unusual spot and I'm very glad we found it for our last night in Ireland prior to flying out of Shannon. I don't think I would have been happy had I stayed there more than one night as there was no water pressure for a shower and very little hot water. For a one-night... more
