The B&B is a little out of the centre of town in a quiet setting. The welcome was down to earth and friendly. After being shown to our very comforable room we sat down for a cup of tea and some buscuits in the little sun room. Our host organised a taxi for us to head into town and she... More

We stayed two nights at the Oakley house. Pat and Eileen were lovely people. The breakfast was wonderful the eggs the fluffiest I've ever eaten. The bed was a little hard for me so I did have a little trouble sleeping. But the room was wonderful we had an en suite. We had the windows open at night because it's... More

Oakley House is a bit outside of the city proper, but I appreciated that the location was quiet. In the summer, your window is open and it was very quiet and peaceful, which makes for a great night's sleep! As we had a car, it wasn't an issue. The location is ideal for exploring all of County Clare and a... More

Sometimes you KNOW when things will be good. From the moment you walk in there is a welcome, the facility is great and so on and so on. This was one of those times. The room was spick and span, the bed comfortable and we slept the sleep of the just. In the morning when we went to take our... More

Eilleen and Pat do their utmost to please. We had to leave early in the AM so they prepared a breakfast/lunch to go. We enjoyed their house. Our room was spacious and especially the newly remodeled bathroom. While in Ireland, we had experienced too many bathrooms that are the size of a small closet. They are located on a very... More

We stayed with Eileen and Pat and family for 6 days, during which time we explored, besides Ennis, much of County Clare as well as Limerick. Their comfortable home is in a quiet neighborhood very convenient to the coast, the Burren, and the River Shannon, as well as to Shannon Airport, our point of departure. Nearby are two petrol stations... More

Close to airport. Very high speed WiFi. Clean room and bathroom. Quiet road. Only complaint, strong musty smell in room. Could smell fireplace from next door drift in through bathroom skylight. I have asthma so this bothered me.

The owner greeted us with tea service in the afternoon, very much appreciated. The rooms were top notch, the showers gave out ample pressure and lots of hot water. I measured the WiFi at 8 Mbps, the fastest I encountered in my two weeks in Ireland. I used it to download a huge file (over 1 Gbyte) for tourist information... More
