We came to the campsite with every intention of staying in a tipi but after one glance at the yurts, we felt we had no choice but to stay in one! We were very lucky with the glorious weather which made the surrounding scenery all the more beautiful. Sally met us at the ferry with her van and transported our... More

Even before you get to the beautiful Cape Clear Island, you arrive at the picturesque village of Baltimore. We arrived on a sunny Saturday and got the Ferry from Baltimore to Cape Clear, €16 return per adult. The Ferry was great fun and the scenery is amazing, we were even luck enough to see Dolphins. Our lovely host Sally collected... More

This campsite is well run from start to finish. We arrived on the afternoon ferry and were transported to our Teepee site by Mary's bus- Sally and Dave were very welcoming and the facilities were excellent. The location is just magical especially with the great weather that we had during our stay. Very peaceful at night. Very good for families;... More

Hi Tommy, so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and on the island. We do meet every ferry and pick up all our customers bags, so not sure how we missed you and you got the bus, though we do remember someone arriving by bus this year! Hope to see you back here again! Sally & dave More

This is a really lovely campsite, run with great energy and care by Sally and Dave. We had a really lovely stay for 5 nights in one of the teepees which are simple and clean. The whole campsite exudes a relaxed and helpful atmosphere. We'll definitely come again.

Well what can I say, such a fabulous stay in an awesome location! Having seen inside the yurts and spoken to people who have stayed in them, I will take some friends next time and "glamp" :) I was so glad that Sally and Dave were happy for me to store some food in their fridge - thank you guys... Yet again a fabulous trip to our favourite campsite in Ireland. Dave and Sally are so accommodating and friendly and set a relaxing, friendly atmosphere. Will definately be back. We camped in our own tents but the yurts look fantastic and worth a try.

Stayed with my wife and two kids(6 and 2 years old) in a Yurt. Really comfortable and in a brilliant location. The island itself is very hilly so the walks were tougher on the kids than I'd anticipated but the scenery is breathtaking at times.

We stayed in one of the yurts - 3 adults, 3 young children - and enjoyed it immensely. They are very comfortable and even in summer, the log burning stove is great at night. Oileán Chléire itself is beautiful, remote and peaceful with great (very hilly) walks. The campsite owners are very friendly and obliging, and genuinely warm. There is... More

Have been coming to Cape for years and decided to try the campsite this time around. Being new to camping we brought our own Tent, my advise is to book a tipi or a Yurt, the Location is fabulous and Sally and Dave are great, they ll even pick your bags from the ferry. Book accommodation well in advance as... More
