I am a little late on my review here, we stayed in one of the yurts with 4 kids 1 baby and a dog! we loved it, it was so peaceful and quite! like stepping back in time to a much slower pace more peaceful, the views were amazing and yurt's are very cosy, with everything you need for cooking.... Śtayed at Chleire Haven for 2 nights last June. Location is stunning overlooking the South Harbour. Our yurt was very comfortable and perfect for the four of us. The stove provided great heat for the evenings. It was so tranquil to leave the door open and look out and listen to the sea while relaxing in bed. Sally collected our... More

Good location an very nice staff (they collect you and your baggage from the pier and pick you up back). We only spent one night on the site, having our own tent, but they also have a few teepees and yurts to offer. Yurts look the most comfortable and they are closest to water. There's no direct access to water,... More

Family of 4 stayed in a yurt for 2 days. Dave & Sally provide a great service. Extra firefighters and logs never s problem. The yurts are high quality and excellently supplied. Very cosy. Highly recommend it

We had a fabulous time staying at the campsite. We went with friends who took a teepee and we brought our tent. We brought our dogs with us and were met at the ferry by Sally. She loaded all our gear into the back of her van and drove it up the hill to the campsite for us. What a... More

We had a wonderful four days in cape clear staying in a yurt, made extra special by the fantastic weather. As experienced campers, this is definitely glamping. The yurt was fabulous and Sally and Dave have paid great attention to detail. Everything you might need is provided to make this a very relaxing stay. We loved the island; the kayaking... More

Hi Yvonne! Thanks so much for the lovely review. There is a relaxing, get away from it all feeling about the island isn't there? We are lucky enough to have some great places to eat on such a small island! Hope to see you next year, for some more unwinding. Sally & Dave More

I came to stay in a Yurt for a week wanting to completely get away from the rat race of London. The peace I found in my dwelling was profound and having came to the island wound up with a trapped nerve in my shoulder, within a day of going to sleep hearing the sea lapping at the shore, I... More

The views from the campsite are stunning. It is ideally located to experience the views and sounds of the ocean along with the hospitality of the island. The only aspect that lets the campsite down is that the toilet facilities could do with an upgrade as they are lacking compared to other campsites where we've stayed. Electricity for the pitches... Hi, many thanks for taking the time to write a review and we're so pleased you enjoyed yourselves. Any tips on what you would suggest for the toilets? We have completely upgraded the showers and have automatic soap dispensers and a Dyson hand drier (in this week!) but maybe the sinks could do with changing? We're a bit stuck (space... More

Stunning location looking across the harbour and out to the Atlantic Ocean. Attendant was friendly and helpful. Showers took a little while to heat up but hey, it's a campsite. A short walk to the 'village' and had a great little cove for swimming that could only reach from the campsite , what a find!!

Hi Many thanks for taking the time to write a review. We did struggle a bit last year with hot water, as we heat our water through solar power and there wasn't much solar!! Hope it didn't spoil your enjoyment too much. Best wishes, Sally & Dave More
