We have visited the chop house and restaurant on many occasions and enjoyed it. However, yesterday we visited for a late lunch/early tea and were a bit disappointed. The steaks were not as good as usual and we felt harassed to hurry up and get out. I know they were busy but we like to relax and enjoy our food.... More

Booked this as a birthday treat and I have to say the whole experience was a delight. Warm welcome, lovely surprisingly spacious room and the whole place oozes character. Dined in the Chop and Ale House and the full meal and wine although on the expensive side were really enjoyable. The chargrilled steaks were wonderful. Why not 5? the cooked... More

We have stayed here a few times.Visited this time with family from Holland who were well impressed. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious. No noise at all. The steaks for which Champany are well known for are rather expensive, but really delicious. Very varied menu if steaks are not your choice. Scottish breakfast is well worth waiting for. Excellent service... More

Stayed here last week for a couple of nights while on business. I would rate the Staff a '5' and the Hotel itself a '4'. Such a refreshing change from the usual business hotel formula. Easy straight forward check-in. The room was clean, reasonably sized, and well laid out. Only had two minor gripes; the en-suite bathroom had maybe the... More

We,ve stayed here a few times and will definitely be back. Really relaxed, good value and fab food and friendly staff. The steaks are massive so be careful you don't order too much for the main course by way of side dishes - they are all delicious so it can be a struggle to finish. The half bottle of champagne... My wife and I have eaten here many times - both Ale and Chop House, and A La Carte Restaurant. Decided to stay this time - £100 for room for 2 including breakfast. Good value. Minor niggle at check-in. In spite of having an e-mail from the Champany confirming my booking including a table for the Ale and Chop House,... More

We booked the Champany Inn for one reason alone--proximity to the Edinburgh Airport having spent the previous week in the Highlands. Much to our suprise what we found was an excellent little hotel, complete with a fantastic restaurant with tremendous food and excellent staff. We had the pleasure of dining in the loft area of the restaurant, which the owner... More

We have just had two wonderful nights at this amazing hotel. They say that they are a restaurant with rooms but they are far more than that. The main event is, of course, the superb "Restaurant", which provides Michelin star worthy food and a wine cellar to match, but the accommodation is superb, so comfortable with lots of lovely extras.... We booked the Champany Inn as an add-on to the beginning of our Scotland trip. Of the six properties we stayed at we ranked Champany Inn at the top. The rooms were extremely nice and the facility was extremely well-maintained. The service was outstanding and we received some good advice. The Inn is just under two miles from Linlithgow and...
