We booked the Champany Inn as an add-on to the beginning of our Scotland trip. Of the six properties we stayed at we ranked Champany Inn at the top. The rooms were extremely nice and the facility was extremely well-maintained. The service was outstanding and we received some good advice. The Inn is just under two miles from Linlithgow and... Psychologically/emotionally one of the most comfortable and warm hotel rooms in which I have ever stayed, on one hand, charming and on the other, elegant. Heavy, white baseboard and massive crown molding set off deep maroon walls and scarlet carpet. A large bay window provides filtered light framed by burgundy and forest green tartan drapes which echo the bedding. This... More

Hotel in lovely grounds and has a charming quality , we stayed here by chance as we we attending the Bo'ness hill climb for the week end. The rooms are spacious and welcoming and the breakfast freshly cooked in front of you in the farmhouse kitchen was delightful. The highlight of our stay was the chop and ale house where... More

I have stayed here a few times now and the service and quality are always briliant. The rooms are quaint and well appointed, good nights sleep assured. The breakfast is cooked to order which makes a nice change, and well worth it. Comine a stay here with dinner in the restaurant and you will leave the place happy thats for... More

My first impression was wow!!! A quaint collection of cottage like buildings, a hotel, restaurant, chop and ale house and wine cellar. The surrounding gardens are beautifully maintained, lovely pots and privet. The staff were really friendly, breakfast was wonderful, cooked to order in a farmhouse kitchen. The food was piping hot, only one complaint as a vegetarian my breakfast... More

Stayed one night and had dinner in the main restaurant as a treat for my husband's birthday. The decor is quite rustic and unpretentious. Our room was beautiful: deep red walls, dark wood and muted tartan furnishings. It was gorgeous with a very comfortable huge bed. Bathroom was very spacious. I agree with a previous reviewer - for the size... More

Rooms are superbly furnished and the quality of fittings and cleanliness is excellent you get miniatures of whisky and gin, nice touch in the room . Food is second to none and cannot be missed, but if you dine in the restaurant the Head Waiter will not show you the... More

This is an ideal alternative to sometimes over-priced accomodation in Scotland's big cities and has the added attraction for drivers of no parking complications. Very clean, well furnished, comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast, serviced by friendly and knowlegleable staff. Linlithgow is very handy for either of the big cities and a provides a break from too many people syndrome.... More

Lovely stay, the staff could not have been more friendly & helpfully. Food fantastic, main one outstanding " not cheap, but food very good". Chop house more reasonably priced for every day, great food, great service, gets busy.

This is a very comfortable hotel close to Edinburgh and the airport. Rooms are superbly furnished and the quality of fittings and cleanliness is excellent. Food is second to none and cannot be missed. I ate in the chop house, but if you enjoy steaks the menu in the hotel restaurant is superb. The wifi can be a bit iffy... More
