Booked this hotel last minute online and got a really good deal. The room and hotel is really nice plus the facilities are excellent. We went to the bar for a drink and got a nasty suprise when we were told how much it was for two drinks. more

I was apprehensive after reading other reviews having booked a 2 night stay for my partner and myself but I needn't have worried as we had the most amazing time. To be honest I didn't find the prices that bad (if you compare to fine dining restaurants in cities or in the case of drinks, nightclubs). The bottled beers were... more

Just returned from a week in Scotland. Traded in my RCI points for the DeVere Cameron House at Loch Lomond as we needed a two-bedroom, full kitchen option. In addition to the traditional hotel, Cameron House has a number of these "lodges". Problems were minor and major. The units are spacious and well-equiped but utilities are all electric. They will... more

I usually do not write reviews for every hotel I stay in, only the good and the bad ones. Unfortunately this hotel falls into the latter category. Firstly, I believe that overall this is a good hotel but it is quite simply not worth the money. I booked the hotel for a friday night this month for my wife and... more

4 couples visiting....Our first visit to Cameron House after staying at Turnberry last year. One of the couples we stayed with had been twice already and loved the place, so as we all assumed after a massive refurbish that it could only be better than we'd originally been told (they have since admitted they wouldn't come back since the refurb).... more

We have just returned from staying in one of the lodges at Cameron House. We have been going to Cameron House for 18 years now as we own a time share week there. This year I felt compelled to write a review as the hotel is undergoing a massive makeover which has generated lots of comments from trip advisor members.... more

Stayed at Cameron House with my boyfriend from 8 -10th April 08 booking a deal which included dinner on the first night. The hotel is currently under refurbishment and having booked via the hotels own website, I was disappointed to receive a phone call from them before we arrived advising that if we wanted to be guaranteed a newly decorated... more

We have just come back from 3 days at Cameron House on Loch Lomond. Its a gorgeous hotel - yes, its dark, but in a very funky and warm way. If you like Malmaison and Hotel du Vin - you will love this!! All of the bars and lounges are nicely decorated and with lots of artificial lamps and candles... more

I booked this, our first trip to Scotland ,as a treat for my husband for Christmas, it had been brought to my attention via a weekly email I receive from a company that looks around at special deals. It was sold as 5 star luxury albeit at a bargain price. We arrived on the afternoon of 28th February for our... more

We have stayed at Cameron House for the last seven years and this year we were amazed and delighted by the changes to the decor. I have to say that we went not knowing what to expect after reading some of the recent reviews. Yes the wood panelling is dark and yes much use is made of candles but this... more
