We attended an birthday lunch in the Hotel and had booked a room B&B as we did not fancy driving home. The staff are really nice and helpful, valet parking very good. The food and service at the lunch was excellent and a very helpful staff. Our room was great, a classic with a garden view. Lovely furniture, big comfortable... More

Booked a 1 night stay for a romantic break in April and was really looking forward to staying at the hotel. We booked a dinner, bed and breakfast package. Our room was lovely and comfortable, with all the touches you would expect in a 5* hotel - an extra touch was a pair of pink rubber gloves found in our... More

Cameron House in 29 degrees C may be rather out of it's comfort zone but it still managed to charm us. The interior is sumptuously dark tartans and leathers, and quirky art all perfect for the harsh Scottish climate, but the beautiful grounds and new England style boathouse and marina showed that Cameron House would be great any time of... Just returned from a two night break to Cameron House as part of my husband's birthday celebration. I booked it some time ago knowing that Cameron House was one of the hotels my husband has always wanted to visit and we were not disappointed. The hotel was busy however the service was excellent throughout our stay. All the staff were... More

Just visited Cameron House for the 8th time. And will keep coming back. Yes it is overpriced but aren't all 5 star hotels in the UK. That's what keeps them exclusive. The staff were friendly and helpful ( with the exception of the young man during dinner on 2nd night). They seem to employ local people not underpaid slave labour... More

Many thanks for your lovely review! It is great to learn that you thought so highly of Cameron House resort, and the traditional baronial interior within. I really appreciate you communicating what a beautiful, world renowned location that we have here, and sincerely appreciate your praise of our food offering, and our fantastic (largely local) team. Once again, thank you... More

Exclusive and expensive. The decor inside is old fashioned and dark- panelled corridors and wooden staircases. Staying as partner to a businessman, we had a meal in the restaurant at night. They were unhelpful about finding the party a table and wanted us to go to the lodge-type-burger-type place in the grounds, when there were spare tables which we pointed... More

We visit Cameron House regularly - every July for the last 5 years. It is indeed depressing to read recent reviews and find that nothing has improved despite repeated advice. Service in the Scots Bar is woeful. The staff delight in finding something else to do as you approach the bar. Drinks are spectacularly expensive. Food varies from bad to... More

Gorgeous location with a stunning view. Very good service level with the right attention to guests. Rooms are clean, equipped with all amenties, docking station, complimentary water and biscuits. Lake-view is a must-have! Great entertainment area with particular reference to the pool. Nine-holes golf course. Tried 2 of 3 restaurants (Grill and The Boat House) that are just sufficient for... Having spend several nights at Cameron House, some excellent and some average we were again faced with an average stay. Hotel far too hot, reception very busy however cleanliness of very high standard and Brian concierge exceptional. Come on Cameron House please get back to the personal touch and standards we are used too.

We spent the first two nights of our honeymoon at Cameron House, having booked online through their website for a "junior suite" at a special rate of £174 a night. I emailed after booking asking for information about an airport transfer mentioning that this was our honeymoon and signing off with my maiden name (H) followed by "soon to be... More
