This is a great place to stay as a base to travel around the Isle of Skye. Easy on and off from the bridge and lots of places to see within walking distance. Mrs Poyser is a great hostess and a good cook serving up an excellent full breakfast or scones and preserves. This accommodation is in a 2 story cottage where the two upstairs rooms are let to only one party travelling together. A really lovely little bed and breakfast in a convenient spot in Skye. Having stayed at quite a few small Scottish B&Bs I can say that Maltby is well above average - what I really liked was the feeling of being a guest a someone's home! Too many of the smaller B&Bs seem to spoil the feel of lovely period... more

We were fortunate to be able to stay at maltby as the landlady just had the one night free. Luckily it was the night we were on the island, we had a lovely welcome and were showed around our room and bathroom. The view was mesmerising. Breakfast was 'heavenly' with homemade preserves, fresh tea and coffee, full scottish breakfast etc.... more
