Jane and Dave are very friendly and sociable. We felt like house guests, but in a good way. We had to skip breakfast and catch the early morning ferry. They gave us the room only rate, which was very nice of them. My wife and I had dinner in Stornoway. To keep the story short, we are happy that the... More

Very friendly people who can gave very good information about what to see on the island. Nice room, good breakfast and easy to find and go to. Also a lot of information when you want to walk with al kinds of maps about the island which you can borrow for a short time.

When arriving on the Hebrides there's no better place to stay than The Ravenstar B&B, after a long journey and sea crossing the guest house is just a short distance (7m) out of Stornaway and the welcome is warm and friendly from proprietors: Dave and Jane. This is a very home from home experience with ample books to read, information... More

This is such a wonderful place to visit and what made it even more so was staying at Jane and Dave's. Although the HebCelt festival was our reason for coming, having breakfast was definitely a highlight of the day. Tasty, fresh and local food combined with friendly chats with J & D as well as other guests. For being our... More

A group of us only stayed one night as we were passing through, and we really loved this place! We received a wonderful warm welcome when we arrived and had a wonderful breakfast the next morning. The rooms were a good size, and clean and the views from our windows of the farmland and coast were really beautiful. We would... More

I only stayed for one night as I was on business, but what a warm welcome I got from Jane. I was given the family room at the single rate as it was the only room not in use when I booked. Although it does not have an en suite you have the sole use of your own private facilities... More

B&B on a smallholding with organic farming and a special charm, situated on the East coast of the Isle of Lewis. We stayed for one week in the family room which had a double and a single bed and had been equipped with an additional cot for our baby girl on our request (free of charge). The room has no... More

wonderfully peaceful place with great hosts. The food at breakfast was all locally produced or grown on site and delicious. the whole stay was like staying with friends rather than paying to stay in a bed and breakfast. If you're really lucky Dave will make you pineapple upsidedown cake! I would highly recommend this place to just unwind for a... More

We have just returned from a holiday in the outer Hebrides and stayed at one of the best bed & breakfasts ever. Run by Dave & Jane Eastwood it was just like the Good Life they kept cattle , goats, pigs chickens etc and grew all their own vegetables. The breakfast was superb - a real treat

This is a working croft combined with a B&B and blacksmiths. Our welcome was great, the farmhouse kitchen warm and friendly with a big range. We had one of the croft's chickens for our evening meal with home-grown vegetables and it was the best we have ever tasted :-) Bedroom was small but well furnished and spotlessly clean. The en-suite... More
