We stayed here for one night in June and it far exceeded expectations. The room was lovely- spotless and great decor. Little extras like home baking and fresh milk in the fridge in the room made all the difference. Breakfast was amazing- I'm vegetarian and was well catered for. The owners were very friendly and gave us lots of advice... More

We stayed for 3 nights in mid July. Our room was superb - we particularly appreciated the crockery for an 'in-room' picnic. Comfortable room, great facilities, lovely breakfasts and a great location - and, of course, David and Lesley as our hosts. This was the first B&B where we'd shared a breakfast table with other guests - we had fantastic... More

This is a great little B&B! There are two en suite bedrooms. A number of people have mentioned the small bathroom- it is entirely fit for purpose. The views from the rooms are wonderful- straight out onto beautiful farm land. We had a fantastic sleep because the area is incredibly quiet and peaceful. David and Lesley are excellent hosts and... We stayed at White House for 3 nights during our trip through the Highlands and Islands and we couldn't have made a better choice on Lewis. David and Lesley are the ultimate hosts, somehow they have managed to find the perfect balance of attentiveness and giving you your own space. They have invested a lot of time and effort making... My adult daughter and I stayed only one night, having driven up from Harris and then driving the next day to the ferry at Stornoway. We had months before chosen the B and B more for location, but found it wonderful as well. Being off the main road, it was even quieter than expected. The hosts David & Lesley were... More

The B&B is located in the north of Lewis, a perfect spot to visit the whole island, its beautiful beaches and breathtaking landscapes. It isn't far from the 'Butt of Lewis', an amazing spot to contemplate the ocean and its nothingness. The room was excellent, with nothing lacking at all. The breakfast was delicious, and really generous. Finally the owners,... More

My cousin and I spent a night at the White House in July. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and shown to our room which was comfortable and very well appointed. In the room we had TV, DVD (and a selection of films to watch), WiFi, and laptop. Although evening meals are not available at this B&B the room had... More

The White House is locate in the near of the ferry (30min). There was not only a TV and DVDs available, but also a little laptop if you don't have your own with you. The car park was next to the house and the breakfast snugly on a table with the other (2) guests. Unfortunately the bathroom was very very... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I have to admit we did have a little chuckle when our manner was described as 'reserved'!....not a term which is usually used to describe David who offers the same warm, friendly and informative welcome to all our guests. In fact over breakfast I often have to 'reign' David in!!... More
