Stayed one night here, midway between Stormoway ferry from mainland and Tarbert ferry to Skye. Welcoming landlord. Excellent local waitress in restaurant and food was tasty. Breakfast excelled! Pricey but enjoyable.

We had lunch here on a day trip from Stornoway and I wanted to see the place that was the site of the early training of the WW2 charioteers (human torpedoes). It is remote, quiet, and beautiful. The owner, Bernie, was at the bar and very friendly and hospitable. The bar itself has seen better days but felt comfortable and... More

I stayed here only for one night. I was tired after a few long trips and this place as exactly what I needed for relaxing. Small hotel with surprisingly large rooms (I don't know if all but my room had also a really large bathroom), cosy restaurant with bar and very very friendly staff. I think that every guest may... The reviews are mostly correct. The location is fantastic as long as you don't want night life. However if you want entertainment spend the evening in the bar with Bernie. A big Yorkshire man ( sounds like chef Brian Turner !) with a great sense of humour and wonderful tales of his past jobs and escapades. You will also meet... More

Loch Erisort Inn is a great place to stay as long as you are not looking for night life, this inn is remote a car is a must. We stayed here for two nights and found it fantastic. It's a great base for touring both Lewis & Harris. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable, the on-suite was spotlessly... More

I have meant to write this for a long time. My most recent meal at the Loch Erisort Inn was last weekend. It was of the usual amazing standard. Local Lobster cooked to perfection served with Hand Cut chips. Fantastic. The Scallops were the same. Owner, Geraldine cooks all the fresh sea food sympathetically and delicately. Never overdone. She says... More

This place is ideal for touring both Lewis and Harris. Owners Bernie and Geraldine were very informative and helpful in pointing out what to see and do. Their staff of local young ladies were delightful. The rooms are very modern, clean and comfortable. The food is fabulous with huge portions of very good quality food for both breakfast and dinner.... More

This Inn is a right enigma. I had read the reviews and broadly got what I expected. You just have to take this place for what it is.Probably unfair to compare with mainland establishments. My room was a substantially better standard than the bar and eating areas which really were in need of a complete revamp. The menu is as... More

We stayed for one night at the Loch Erisort Inn, happily managing to find a room when much else was booked. The food, beer and welcome were excellent, and great value. The dinner menu had a huge choice of freshly made specials, and the breakfast was great too. The public bar has lots of interesting curios, books and friendly locals.

We spent three nights here in late June on our travels round Scotland. We loved it. If you want a warm welcome, comfy rooms and terrific home cooked food then this is where you need to be. Yes, it is quirky but it suited us perfectly. All the staff were so friendly and Bernie acting as front of house cheered... More
