We unfortunately only stayed one night, but the island is beautiful and Margaret is a gracious host. She was waiting for us at the ferry and told us where to go and what to see while on the island. The room was very comfortable and we were well taken care of. We would certainly visit again.

My partner and I were lucky to have Margaret offering us a room for 3 great nights. When I called her to book it, she was very helpful and even offered happily to pick us up from the ferry when we arrived. We were late and she kept on driving back to the ferry to see if we got there.... More

If you really want an authentic experience of Iona, look no further than Margaret McDonald's lovely B&B - Bishop's Walk. We have just returned from our second visit and loved every minute of our stay. There is something very special about Margaret and her relaxed and informal, but very professional way of making her guests enjoy their time with her.... More

We have just returned from having 4 nights stay at Margaret's B&B. It was wonderful! We had been nervous about whether a B&B set up could work with our three young children but it was perfect. We had two twin rooms and our own bathroom (all effectively up our own staircase). Margaret had provided an extra bed for our youngest... More

Bishops Walk is situated under the highest hill on Iona and has great views. It was fun walking across the sheep meadow from the house to the sea. The rooms were comfortable and a great base to explore the island from. We were free to come and go. Margaret made us feel completely at home. We loved the experience of... More

You couldn't wish for finer hospitality. Margaret is warm, friendly and helpful - including lifts from and to the ferry. You can rely on comfortable beds and wonderful breakfasts. Well placed for the Abbey and the glorious North beach. Great value.

Margaret MacDonald was very helpful, meeting our ferry, driving us to her place and pointing out all the interesting spots on the way. It was a mini tour. Her B & B was quiet and comfortable. The view was perfect: looking out over a field of her sheep grazing, with the sea in the background. Her breakfasts were hearty and... More

Margaret the b&b owner is a warm and friendly person but respects your privacy. The rooms are comfortable and clean with good facilities and I felt very relaxed and slept really well. I can guarantee that after one of Margarets lovely breakfasts you will not want to eat again that day. One of the personal touches I loved was that... More

The BnB has several good things- It's location. Located just a little walk from the ferry terminal it is just short distances away from Iona Abbey, main restaurants and the Dun I hill (this is situated right behind the BnB). - Mrs. McDonald's hospitality, help with where stuff is in Iona is great. - The breakfast is done at a...
