Three of us stayed here for three nights in June while doing some survey work in the surrounding forests. The buildings are not the most welcoming covered in the traditional grey spray grit finish. The rooms we had were comfortable and yes, as previous reviewers have said, dated. The beds were good and the shower etc was ok. The TV... more

Stayed at the Rob Roy for 3 nights on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis. It cost £30 p.p.p.n The bedrooms are in a different building from the reception, bar and restaurant. The room was clean and tidy but the furniture was rather old and dated as was the soft furnishings. There was a portable tv and hospitality tray but... more

I was unfortunate enough to stay at this hotel with a group from my husbands work for an event organised by the social club. the hotel was very tired, the furniture was falling apart, there were hole in the sheets, the food was apalling and there was hardly a Scottish face in sight. The hotel appeared to be run by... more

Had a lovely long weekend here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Good variety of food every night, and full Scottish breakfasts, served by happy helpful staff. Rooms very clean, albeit a bit old fashioned, with great showers and plently of towels. We had absolutely no complaints at all and would definately return. more

Just back from a weekend away with friends, catching up, the hotel, service, staff, food, entertainment, were first class. If you are looking for a break, and dont want to pay over the odds, book it. This was not our first time here, and all I can say is any time I am there it is always busy. more

Hotel's own website is very misleading, the hotel is old-fashioned & outdated. I had booked a bed&breakfast with 5-course evening meal, the actual 3-course dinner served was horrible, when we complained we did get a refund but were told it was very surprising we didn't like it as they pride themselves on their food! The whole place looked like &... more

This place is bad…. I read the reviews and saw the web site and decided it would be a reasonable place and price to spend my three-night visit to the Trossachs. Boy was I in for a surprise. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a friendly staff then sent to the very peculiar building where the rooms were located.... more
