We booked our wedding party into Inchrie Castle Hotel in August 2008. A total of 44 guests were due to stay here the weekend of our wedding on the 21st February 2009. 48 hours before our firsts guests checked in for the weekend, the owner rang us to tell us they would not be open, even though only 4 days... more

Some of the party even found cockroaches, The staff where very unpleasent and spoke very little English, more interester in playing with there laptops than... more

I visited this hotel with my mother earlier this year and met a wonderful caring manager by the name of George Telford, I have his card and found it in September and contacted the hotel to be told by another man that George was on his day off and offered to help with my booking, I wanted to bring the... more

The hotel is situated in a very secluded position on the outskirts of Aberfoyle. There were no complaints about the food which was well presented and tasty although the portions were slightly small and the choice was limited. The staff, particularly the receptionists, were helpful and friendly. What really lets this hotel down is the state of the rooms in... more

First impressions of this Hotel were not bad. Room was quant but not spacious. Things started to go down hill in the evening when our booking for DB&B stated we were entitled to a three course meal while the hotel staff informed we could only have a two course unless we paid extra. When we queried this the duty manager... more

I have never been more miserable in a hotel. The room was clean enough. The bathroom was clean enough. There was, however, no heat in the room. I slept, when I could, in all layers I brought with me. Each night at around 3:00 am I gave up and made a bath with scalding water just to raise my body... more

I think from the decor that Inchrie Castle Hotel was possibly at its peak in the late 70s and 80s - unfortunately they haven't updated the decor (or got rid of any bathroom mould) since then. To be fair we had a bar meal and drinks on the Friday evening in the 'Destiny Bar' which were very nice. The decor... more

Stayed at the Inchrie Castle for two nights. Reception was helpful but put me into what felt like a cell more than a hotel room. It smelt like a sewer and although i asked for the heaters to be turned on they stayed stone cold the whole stay. We decided to eat in the restaurant but it was so dimly... more

Only stayed one night in Aberfoyle. Hotel is close to the main street and easily walkable. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself could do with a face lift, especially the bar and dining room. Reasonable accomodation for the price. more

Our party of 5 arrived Aug 4-6.Set in a lovely and picturesque area of Scotland, the hotel was very quaint, historical and very Scottish. The front desk service was outstanding, the rooms adequate. We found the beds comfortable, the washrooms small and tight...no room to turn in the shower. And keep in mind, this is an old building...one will certainly run into musky... more
