My wife and i stayed at the forth Inn, on the 21st of August 2009. We were given a very comfortable room to stay in. The spacious baronial dining room had a great atmosphere, the food was fantastic. I havent experienced such a well presented delicious culinary masterpiece in a long time. we eat out often, this place takes a... more

The Forth Inn serves super food, and is in a lovely location. It is really cosy, too. Sadly, the rooms were a little smelly (damp) and opening the window did not solve the problem. Also, it is a pub - do not expect a quiet night's sleep. The staff defend this to the hilt - so if you do not... more

We stayed one night here in May while walking the West Highland Way. The staff were very friendly and efficient (a good combination) both at the reception and in the restaurant. The food was good, superior pub grub - especially the St Andrews steak pie - with generous portions and a fine breakfast. The building is old and interesting upstairs... more

It's a while since we stayed at the Forth Inn, but I've been wanting to go back there since. We liked it so much we extended our stay by an extra night. The pub and restaurant is lovely, delightfully decorated with traditional wood; very rustic and cosy. The food was absolutely fantastic, and I've been trying to replicate the pie... more

This hotel gets the important things right. The staff are helpful and friendly, the food is magnificent and the bar has an excellent selection of beers and whiskeys. There is a good friendly atmosphere in the bar where a pleasent evening can be had. The only negative was that the decoration is to say the least a little tired, particularly... more

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in June 2008. The bedroom is a very good size, with plenty of storage space and a full size bath with shower. The decor is a little tired, but it is clean so that's the main thing. The bed is huge and very comfortable, pub has its own car park. We... more

Having read some of the reviews on this site, I must state that this Inn is a great find and I would recommend it to anyone. We stayed for two nights - 21st and 22nd March 2008 and we had a wonderful time. The staff are a credit to the Inn, warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean... more

Dropped in here for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago. Good food options at decent prices, and very good for 'pub grub' would definitely go back. Staff were also friendly and attentive and service was quick. Plenty of room to sit too, not packed in like sardines, as often seems to be the case at Sunday lunchtime in pubs,... more
