Visited a few times during our stay nearby, staff very friendly and helpful, food was lovely and a great choice of ales with knowledgeable staff. Only complaint would be, ladies toilet cubicles very small.

Although we didnt stay here, we chose to have dinner here due to the high ratings on reviews on trip adviser. First of all I must state that the food was excellent. However the bar where we were seated for our dinner was a real let down, dogs barking and wandering about freely where people were eating, locals shouting and... More

Thank you for your review. Firstly, thank you for the compliment on the food it is much appreciated. With respect to the other aspects of your comment, it's interesting to hear what you say. Only 7 reviews earlier we were complimented on being pooch friendly, however, it's quite probable that they were different dogs that wern't barking and wandering around,... More

Stopped off for a drink after visiting the local forest walks. Good to see a pub that looks like a pub (if you know what I mean). Friendly bar staff and a nice pint, didn't have time for food, will try the next time in area. The free wi-fi wasn't working.

Hubby and I had been before on another rainy afternoon, took a friend this time. Great Food, Cute pooches, friendly, helpful staff only quibble, coffee could be stronger. Great way to spend a lazy afternoon. Fully recommended.

we were in the Inn the same time last year, we enjoyed it very much that's why we went back. Phil the owner is a very friendly man and seeing that all the staff is still there, is a good sign. The service is quick and good, the food is really 5 star. We will go back in the near... More

Really good food, friendly staff and welcoming patrons. If you’re in the area make sure you stop here for dinner as the Roast Sirloin is among the best I have had in the UK. We ate here three times in 7 days it was so good!

Had to make a very last minute booking to stay over at the Forth on a Saturday night. Main thing for us with the hotel and bar being dog friendly and how they are!!! Couldn't have asked for a more friendlier welcome for our pup. Bed was comfy and food served was very tasty and not too pricey. Only tiny... More

Although we never stayed here, but it's just my kind of place with relaxed environment and rustic feel adding the charm all the way to our stopover to the fantastic trip to Loch Lomond. While the outside weather was favorable, with mild rains and cold feel to it, the ambiance was welcoming and cozy enough to let us enjoy the... More
