We stopped in for lunch at the Wallace Bar, and were not disappointed. They have a large selection of cask ales, most of which are amazing, the food is excellent(we had steak pie and fish and chips), staff was friendly and more than happy to let us sample a few of the ales before ordering. The best part was the... More

I ate today my first Haggis. They offer it also as a starter, in which the haggis is nicely breaded and there is not that much to eat if you for somereason don't like it. But I have to admit that it tastes really good! I visited there as a part of Tour so I didn't have time to order... More

I had a steak pie with chips here for lunch during my group tour. Not only a great plate but also friendly staff and lovely and comfortable pub! I wish I could spend another hour here just sitting and relaxing. If I revist Aberfoyle again, this will be the place where I have dinner!!

25 years ago today I had my wedding reception in the Forth Inn. The food, staff and Scottish hospitality was commented on by many of the 200+ guests. We revisited today, it may have new owners now but all of the above still apply. We were allowed into the function room to take photo's. The steak pie was amazing. The... More

We only stayed the one, on a quick visit to the area. The Forth Inn came well recommended and we were not disappointed. The bar was busy but not crushed and had a pleasant atmosphere. The room was a decent size, although the en-suite bathroom was a little small. We had a good nights sleep followed by a fantastic Scottish... More

Travelled all the way from South Africa, with family from UK, and stayed near Aberfoyle. We love good ol' English pubs, so when we found The Forth Inn we definitely thought we came across a little gem! Atmosphere is very welcoming, traditional and family-friendly. We definitely made a point of popping in daily for a pint, where we felt right... More

We stayed in room 2, which was tiny & cramped with 2 single beds & a double. You could hardly move around the beds. The bathroom door would not shut & the room was hot. If we opened the windows, the smoke from the people below wafted in. There were too many towels & they were all frayed & had... More

Just stumbled upon this pub and had lovely main course Sunday lunch. Dawn had Braised lamb and mash - delicious . I had steak pie - puff pastry and fresh veg cooked to perfection . Great stop off for lunch. Seemed like some great beers though (as well ) I didn't sample on this occasion.
