Stayed here for one night, while walking the Rob Roy Way, and it was fabulous. Alison could not be more helpful if she tried. Bedroom was pristine and breakfast was splendid. Aberfoyle probably has many b&b, but if you do choose this one, you will not be disappointed.

What a wonderful place to stay. Facilities were excellent. Alison was a fabulous host. Breakfast plentiful. Gorgeous views and good location. Ample parking. Excellent value for money, worth far more. You are doing a great job and have a very charming tasteful home. :)

This is a lovely B&B - clean, quiet, with a very gracious and helpful host - Alison. It is situated up on a hill and our room had a very nice view. It is a short walk down into the town of Aberfoyle, where there are a few restaurants and pubs to have lunch or dinner. The breakfast was tasty... More

The Bield is a beautiful Victorian house in a great position for easy access to everything in Aberfoyle. The public/breakfast areas are lovely and rooms are to a high standard and everywhere was immaculate! Alison was so friendly and helpful, and her breakfasts are lovely. A good selection of cereals, fresh fruit, granola, yoghurt etc and really tasty cooked breakfasts.... More

This establishment has everything a good B&B should have. Lovely building, great hosts, super clean, fluffy towels, toiletries and an exceptional breakfast. It was by far and away the best value B&B we stayed in during our 17 day trip to Scotland. The prices should be hiked up to reflect the market in general. Definitely recommend.

We had a great stay at the Bield, which is a lovely house in a lovely setting. Bicycle storage was no problem and Alison was very helpful and accommodating. The room was great - clean, comfortable and with everything you could want. Breakfasts were particularly special, with a wonderful choice of fresh and dried fruit, yogurt, cereal etc, in addition... We had walked over from Drymen on the first leg of the Rob Roy Way. We had lunch in a local bar/restaurant and made our way to the Bield. We rang the bell. No one answered. We walked back down the hill into Aberfoyle and had tea and a scone in a tearoom. We then walked back up to the... More

My wife Jane & I booked this as a 'bonus night', on the sam day we stayed! We found owner Alison Jennings extremely helpful and very friendly, going out of her way to suggest an antiques place to visit, and other advice. Our room (no4) was a delightful double room, with a very comfortable bed and pleasant en suite bathroom... More

We've stayed in many B&Bs in Scotland and have come to dread the breakfast provision, not being fans of fried food and all the variety of sausage products that many offer. The Bield was a most welcome alternative - breakfast was a fine experience - fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals - cooked food if you wanted it, but not in the... More

Lies a short walk over the village of Aberfoyle. Good position for day trips in the surroundings. We had a warm welcome there. Room (very clean, good size, much light) and Breakfast (tasty, fresh fruit) were perfect.
