Perfect location but our room upstairs was in need of new decor and was very tiny. 40 pound for the night was great value but if we wanted breakfast it would take the bill to almost 60 which is nearly 10 each? Because of the tiny basic tired room and the expensive breakfast we decided to have our evening meal... More

Ok, so you walk into the bar or front entrance to this well situated hotel and you are struck by the new and fresh decor, unfortunately that is where it ends. The upstairs looks tired and dated with what appears to be faux suede effect paint on the walls. In the room we had this was a nicotine brown colour... More

We had a meal in the bar area of the hotel and the food was very very nice, also it was great value,we got a spring deal in which we had 2 courses for £8.95 and the food was delicious. After eating we decided we wanted to stay the night in Ayr so we booked a room and we are impressed... More

Always a favourite on a family trip to Ayr when the sun is out. The staff and food are very nice, fresh and plentiful. The bar area is nice of a night time also. I wouldn't eat in any other pub near Ayr beach! Check out the steak pie! Nice job, defo return

We had the pleasure of going to your restaurant on Tuesday the 17th of March as we were in Ayr for the day and on behalf of the 7 of us Thank you for such lovely food and great service. I will be highly recommending it to anyone I know.

The clues are there. Clue 1 the receptionist refusing to let me see the room before paying for it. Clue 2 the overpowering smell of shake n vac which held out until day 2 when the overpowering smell of stale tobacco won over. That's clue 3 to when the room was last spring cleaned as smoking was banned in 2007.... More

Visited restaurant for first time on same day as person who had thin sauce and bland, tasteless lasagne. I had the lasagne and it was very tasty and the chips were perfectly cooked. I then had the salted caramel cheesecake which was delicious. Had to wait about 20 minutes for food but was well worth the wait. It was fresh... More

After a terrible curry, which my wife declined to eat we called into and old favourite from years ago. The winter warmer 2 course dinner for £8.95 was a bargain Chicken pate followed with the fish and chips, goes to say that you would in another restaurant pay that amount for the Chicken pate itself. Well worth the money.

My husband and I went for lunch and ordered from winter warmers specials. I ordered a "creamy" mushroom pot which arrived over 30mins later and was watery and tasteless so I couldnt eat it the waiter told me "its meant to b a thin sauce" but I have had it before and it was lovely. I then had lasagne which... More
