Liz is a wonderful host, she's so friendly and attentive. Scotland was having sort of a heat wave while we were in Ayr and our room was a bit warm early in the evening as our windows faced west and Liz brought a fan for us to use, without being asked. The clothes we brought were a bit warm for... More

Travelling with my sister and both husbands during late April. We had a lovely one night stay and the very best Scottish breakfast with Liz at the Burnside. Pride of ownership is everywhere and the personalized service was highly evident. We also found the rates very fair. This is definitely worth the stop! Thank you Liz.

Delicious breakfasts include fresh fruit salad, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon or full cooked Scottish. Liz is a wonderful, friendly host who can help you with your stay in... More

Lovely welcome, room and food. Nice to have a dvd player in room and a library of films to choose from. Guest House is situated close to lots of places to eat out but is quiet at night. Would definitely stay here again.

During our visit to Ayr in July, 2011, we were very fortunate to stay at the Burnside Guest House. Our host, Liz Drysdale, was so welcoming you immediately felt at home. Nothing was too much trouble for her. You asked and she did her utmost to give. Our room was spotless and had a beautiful view into the back garden... More
