We stopped here to sample the cream teas that we had heard so much about. Hot freshly baked VERY large scones, with butter large dish of cream and a selection of jams, and a well made cuppa (Or coffee if you prefer) Whats not to like? We were seated in the Witches and Warlocks restaurant with lovely views of the... More

Staff were lovely, food was first class. The menu was fantastic with lots to choose from. They accommodated us well and decorated our table for the event. They also brought out our cake as planned. The wine list was very impressive and the decor is lovely.

I married the love of my life a little over a week ago here. It couldn't have been a more perfect day. You can view the setting/rooms/grounds etc on any number of sites, so I'll instead focus on what you can't see in photographs (if these aren't already enough to sell it to you). The staff are first class-I cannot... More

Had a wonderful dinner. We called last minute on the off chance that they had space and they couldn't have been any more accommodating. Service was rapid, decor was so tasteful and interesting. Food was delicious! Price was very reasonable, £13.95 for 2 courses. Lovely choice on the kids menu. Haggis Neepsend and tatties is almost essential given the location.... More

It's a nice location juts near the bridge and burns museums. We staid in the cottage across the road as the hotel is full. Room is clean and spacious . Bathroom is clean and really big, including shower and bath. The food was great and tasty. I think it's a good place to stay in

Enjoyed a lunch in the restaurant at this hotel recently. Stayed previously in a stunning bedroom after our son's wedding. This is a favourite place for us to visit either for afternoon tea or lunch. Had our Christmas dinner here in 2013 which was a lovely experience. The hotel itself is unique with that 'old world' feeling and the surrounding... More

This was my first visit to this hotel and I would not hesitate to return. A beautiful and peaceful setting not too far from the main road or Ayr, so ideal for either a short break or passing through. The restaurant had an excellent choice covering all tastes. The rooms were charming and very comfortable. Wi-fi was a bit hit... More

Absolutely beautiful hotel with amazing old worlde features surrounded by glorious grounds and the Bridge of Doon that Tam O'Shanter rode his horse across in the famous Robert Burns poem. Ideal for a romantic break away and definitely ideal for weddings. Food fantastic and staff delightful
