Arrived in the evening and was welcomed by a nice girl in the reception. We got a room facing the car park and did not hear any noise from the road. Rooms are big, clean and new, but very basic. Won't even complain for one second after paying only £29 for a double room. The bed was okay, wifi worked... more

Stayed for one night. Room was on first floor, above entrance, but on a warm evening could not open window as the cigarette smoke filtered up from the smokers standing just outside reception. Room was very basic - no seating other than bed! No shower gel - only one very small bar of soap for two people to wash and... more

We only stayed here one night as we had a late night flight coming in and too tired to continue to our destination. Basic room, cheap, clean You could see they had removed another bed and left big bare spot where it was sitting, they could have put a chair or 2 so it didn't look so sparse. This is... more

I can't believe the fussiness of some of the reviewers - this is obviously a budget hotel; if you want smart furnishings, frilly curtains and a comfortable toilet seat, pay for it. I am no stranger to both extremely lururious hotels and the budget end of the market, depending on whta the occasion is. This hotel was clean, efficient an... more

Check in was fast and smooth, very friendly staff. Room was clean and good size, mattress was VERY comfy (better than my own). TV had... more

Stayed in March 2008. Location This hotel is on the outskirts of Ayr and very easy to find. Its about 10 mins by taxi from Ayr town centre and the same to Prestwick town centre and a few minutes more to Prestwick airport. For Ayr racecourse its ideal about 5 mins away by taxi and about 15 mins walk along... more

I normally stay short stops in Premier Travel Inns but have used Travelodge in the past. This hotel is modern and recently built. The newer style rooms are now very basic no frills boxes but even more basic than the travelodges of before. They remind me of the interior of mobile homes. The furniture is very spartan and open with... more
