I travelled to Ayr to see family and stayed in the Inverlea Guest House. I had a lovely time, great chats with the owners and staff, delicious breakfasts and cosy rooms. I'm back up in Ayr in September and already looking forward to my stay in Inverlea.

This B&B is doing it right. We only stayed one night, but having stayed at plenty of places in our 4 week drive tour of England/Scotland and Wales, Inverlea was a stand-out! As ours was a one-nighter, I cannot speak for the attractions of Ayr itself, though it does seem to have plenty to offer. But all you would have... More

Just home from a wonderful 2 days at the Inverlea. From the moment you arrive right up to you leave your every need is catered for. From the hand written welcome card with chocolate to the extra portions at breakfast ☺. Our room (5) was spotless, lovely bedding with a modern and fresh ensuite. I would have no hesitation in... Stayed overnight yesterday when attending a wedding at the nearby Brig O'Doon Hotel. The welcome given by Liz was the best we have ever experienced. We were offered a glass of wine or a beer whilst we got ready for the wedding. When I asked Liz to order a taxi for us to get to the wedding venue, she offered... More

My husband and I live in Kuwait and make regular trips back to Ayr to see our family. We have stayed with Liz and her family every time. We are always given a warm welcome and Liz always takes time to have a chat. The bedrooms are always immaculate and warm, the breakfasts amazing and nothing is too much trouble.... More

We booked for one night and stayed for two! Liz was very welcoming and keen to assist. We found Inverlea a good base to explore the coastline local to Ayr and the impressive Culzean Castle. The delicious breakfast choices set us up for the day.

Called in on the off chance there were rooms available after a long day working away. Made to feel very welcome and given two last minute rooms and the price wasn't increased as we've had elsewhere for last minute. Rooms were well above average, everything was immaculately clean and very comfortable. Very good advice given on where to eat and... More

What can I say?! Liz is an absolute star! From the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome, nothing was a trouble! Room 4 was beautiful - freshly decorated, very like a boutique hotel! Breakfast was delicious, just what was needed after the wedding the night before! Would highly recommend & we'll definitely be back when we're... More
