Well run guesthouse with friendly couple to run it. David and Shona are the no fuss type and leave you to get on with it, unless you need them. Great value for money, excellent breakfast and superb location after a short walk into town. Plenty of supermarket, pubs and restuarants in the near vacinity. Overall, a good stay and would... More

Lovely people, very professional and caring. Attention to detail excellent. Clean, cosy and practical place to stay. They make you very welcome and are excellent at giving information on local and not so local places to visit for history. They also know great places for Food & Dining. Not far from the Sea and major routes where you can visit... More

We stay here on a regular basis and it never fails to impress. Owners are great and their use of mobile to check in is very helpful Great value for money, with or without breakfast. Without doubt, we will be staying here again.

We were very impressed with the fact that when there was something amiss with our room the owners upgraded us, at no extra cost. The room was very well appointed and comfortable. We had an excellent breakfast as well. The owners were very good about telling us about a good restaurNt just a 15 minute walk away. Our only concern... More

My friends and I stayed at the Beechwood Guest House, so we could catch an early morning flight at Glasgow Prestwick. The owners were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They were happy to send us a padlock code, so we could arrive at the Beechwood late at night. They also arranged a taxi for us in the morning, so we could... More

Needed an overnight sty in Ayr so that my wife and I could have a drink once our daughter was in bed. I had been here before and knew it was a fantastic price and an extremely pleasant stay. David and Shona (owners) remembered me(which I always find excellent customer service) They got on great with my wife and even... More

Was making a booking for Ayr Australia on booking.com when somehow it took me out of Australia to Scotland. I realised straight away and cancelled immediately online and by phone, but the hotel took the money anyway. Booking.com said nothing to do with us its the hotel despite taking me out of Australia search, very evasive over this! The hotel... More
