We had visited Ayr to go to the Robert Burns memorial musem and birthplace. The owners gave us a great amount of information about where to go and what to see. The room (2) was clean and spacious for a family of four and then to nights we stayed we very pleasant. Breakfast was lovely and there was plenty of... More

Lovely roomy Guest house in great location, friendly helpful service, spotlessly clean, great breakfasts. We had the Arran suite with its lovely view out to sea but not for folks with mobility problems. Easy walk into town but buses available just at the door and local taxis always on hand. We are out at Willie Wastle's and New City Chinese... More

We started our Scottish road trip at this delightful B and B. David and Shona are great hosts, very attentive, friendly and helpful. David made some good suggestions of things to see on our trip and we were glad we followed his advice. We stayed in room 5 with our well behaved dog. A lovely, spotlessly clean room with an... More

We have just returned from an excellent faultless break at The Beechwood. Excellent friendly hosts and five star accommodation. This is the best place to stay in Ayr for bed and breakfast with the added bonus of being pet friendly. We will definitely return on our next visit to Ayr. Thank you for a wonderful break.

We arrived in The Beechwood guest house too late and the owner was very helpfull with our late check in. The place is near airport, just 5 minutes by taxi (£8'5). It's a great place to be also the train station to Glasgow Central Station is very close, less than 5 minutes walk.

We stayed one night today in Ayr and had opted for The Beechwood Guesthouse because it was affordable and had good reviews. We confirm 100% the good reviews. Our family room (no 2) was large, tidy, and furnished with taste. From the windows ( it was a clear day ) we could enjoy a partial sea view. Free wifi was... More

Short one night stay while attending a wedding nearby and perfectly suited our needs. Great value including a tasty breakfast in the morning. The lounge and breakfast area were comfortable and welcoming and the couple were the exact same both making sure we were happy with our room when we checked in. If ever need to stay in Ayr again... The owners of this Guest House, Shona and David, could not be more helpful. The house has been modernized to a good standard and is bright and clean. The breakfast room is light and airy with high ceilings and original features. There is a little lounge behind it that you can use (it has a small fridge and glasses). We... More

Stayed at the weekend here with my daughter.... Must say did not disappoint. Asked for a quiet room & got plenty of it- great thanks. The breakfast was superb and would highly recommend it- normally stay in the branded chains when in the area. But after reading the reviews- had to try and it was great- fantastic hosts too. We...
