The Premier Inn Ayr (Monkton Lodge) is perfectly adequate but has some little niggles in comparison to other Premier Inns I have stayed in. Reception staff were nice and friendly. Room was clean but bathroom starting to look tatty and there was a puddle of water behind the bathroom door that looked like a leak under bath. The attached Brewers... more

Coming off the Stranraer ferry we decieded to split our journey home to see family and stay overnight here in Monkton, arrived around 9 at night and was welcomed by reception, dumped all our bags in the lovely and warm room and headed down to the Brewers Fayre for some much needed dinner. Food was very nice, good pub grub... more

It's a Premier Inn!! Exactly the same as all the others. The Brewers Fayre is attached and can be accessed direct from hotel reception. Bed was a little uncomfortable , and I recommend a room away from the car park as all the salesmen etc leave between 6.30am and 8am and seem to delight in revving their diesel engines as... more

We stayed at the Premier Inn for 1 night on our way back from holiday. This is the 1st time we have stayed in a premier inn & we were very impressed, the standards were far better than any of the travelodges & holiday inns we have stayed in. The room was large & spotlesly clean, with temperature control, comfortable... more

Hotel was ok, but the location is only good for accessing the nerarby airport. Not much else in the general area to see. Rooms clean and the adjoining restaraunt was OK. Good clean bed for the night to catch an early flight the next day. more

On arrival to the Premier Inn we were too early for check in. The girl at reception immediately offered us to come and dine in the excellent Brewers Fayre restaurant which had a soft play area for our kids. The room was ready in no time and we found it to be of a good size, clean and temperature controlled.... more

We stayed here most recently for a sunny weekend in Ayr but have used this Travel Inn for flying from Prestwick Airport on very early flights. The room was very comfortable and clean and check in was very pleasant. Tea/coffee making facilities are in the room as are a hairdryer and fan. The Travel Inn is attached to a Brewers... more

Stayed here for 1 night during a Trade Expo. Room was a good size, nicely decorated. Bathroom was sizable, with plenty of hot water. I arrived quite early, way before check in time, and the staff did their best to accomodate me ASAP. Main problem was that it was in the middle of nowhere. Also, larger aircraft can be heard... more

This hotel delivery exactly what you would expect from a Travel Inn - good sized clean rooms. We've stayed a number of times when traveling out of Prestwick airport and the staff have always been very nice. Handy Brewers Fair type restaurant next door. more
