Stayed at one of the cottage suites for 1 night only, 3 sisters, so twin beds + sofa bed was perfect, all very comfortable, no sagging mattresses, spotlessly clean and very modern, piping hot radiators/towel rail, two plasma screen TV's, fridge (which we didn't expect) beverage facilities and plenty of room for three adults. The special deal prices are great... more

Lovely hotel and good restaurant with reasonable prices. However, very concerned that fire doors were constantly propped open and I've received no response from my written ocncerns to management about this. Why put guests' and staff's lives at risk? more

We stayed here recently on a Saturday night. It's an old, expansive house that was owned by Johhnie Walker's (Whisky) son. Still family owned, it has around 30 rooms, 2 restaurants and nice grounds. Situated right across the road from Royal Troon golf course and a 5 minute walk from South Beach. Beware that some rooms are actually in adjoined... more

I am staying at the Piersland House Hotel on business, currently on week one of three. I was allocated one of the cottages in the hotel grounds which is ideal for me! The cottage consists of a living area, double bedroom and en-suite bathroom. You enter the cottage from the outside straight into the living area which has a three... more

Like previous reviewers, we were given a "suite" after we were told it would easily sleep 3 adults. This hotel is rated 4stars. The room was in the long line of attached cottage rooms...looks like an old Route 66 style building. My review is about this room, we never saw one in the main hotel. We needed a room for my... more

We checked in expecting just a classy room. When we got to our cottage we opened the door to a sofa, armchair, satellite TV, minibar and desk. But where's the bed? It's in a room off to the side. So we actually had a suite! Nice touches like designer soap & shampoo etc. in the bathroom, an umbrella in the... more

We had our wedding at this hotel last year and a lot of our guests stayed at the hotel. We stayed for 2 nights and had a fantastic day. Believe it or not it was probably the warmest day of they year. The hotel grounds looked absolutely stunning with the sun shining it made the gardens look even more special.... more

We stayed at the Piersland prior to flying off for a short break. It's location is close to Prestwick Airport. The Hotel is not too large and has lodges within the grounds. Entry into the hotel is by a tree lined entrance with very well cared for gardens and a super view of the golf course. On arrival our room... more

Wonderful, clean hotel. In a perfect location to play golf at Troon. Great hot showers with plenty of water pressure after a long day of golf. more

Located across from Royal Troon, The Piersland House Hotel's first appeal is undoubtedly to golfers; however, its proximity (less than 1/3 of a mile) to the sea should not be ignored and the town does have an obvious seaside feel. The hotel grounds are perfectly landscaped and maintained offering shelter to pleasant birds (as opposed to pesky- read: almost no... more
