We stayed here for one night while we were in Ayr for the races. The location is really good its right by the sea. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast was very good plenty of coffe and toast with a full english breakfast. the only thing I had to moan about is they are very hot on to... more

We were fortunate to obtain accomodation during The Open, this year, due to a Corporate cancellation. SUMMARY - Superb dinners that exceeded my expectations, Room was large and comfortable with a very spacious bathroom. Only negative was room had no airconditioning and was stuffy at times. Service was generally very good commencing at the time I called from Australia, when... more

Fantastic hotel and couldn't fault anything about the whole place. The General Manager (Mr Durrand) was a total gentlemen and all his staff were lovely. Food was great. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for fantastic few days away. more

Found the whole experience from telephone booking to leaving hotel a pleasure. Room very clean and cosy. Staff more than helpful on what was a very busy weekend, with weddings coming and going each day we were there. Food and service were first class. We stayed at another hotel for one night as we were attending a wedding there, same... more

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Fairfield House Hotel. The hotel is lovely and our room was clean and spacious. However, we were on the 2nd floor near to the function room and it was really noisy. When we spoke to staff they said the music would stop at midnight, which it did, but it... more

My wife and I have stayed in Ayr on a number of occasions but it was only on this trip we found the Fairfield. The problem is they do not seem to advertise very much, if at all, and we found it on an Ayrshire web site when browsing for somewhere different. Our arrival was spectacular as we were piped... more

My husband and I spent a week at the Fairfield House last month. The hotel has fabulous staff and a great location but....the rooms were in need of a good cleaning and refurbishing. The grout in the bathroom was black and smelly, the dirt around the windows was awful, the carpet was in need of a good cleaning, wallpaper was... more

I stayed at the Fairfield with a colleague on a business trip to Ayr. Nice location right by the shore - not that we had any time to enjoy it, but the view was nice. I apparently had an executive suite - this seemed to differ from a normal room in size only, as there was nothing extra to what... more

I'm another who cannot find a single negative to say about our three-night stay at the Fairfield. One possible problem having booked one double and two twin rooms only to find three doubles allocated on arrival was quickly sorted out when two of the party were upgraded to the Churchill Suite at no extra cost and the beds made up... more
